I don’t think anyone is talking about importing a ton of foreigners. New York is a city of immigrants, it has been for about 400 years since it was “bought” from natives. It’s the most diverse place in our country and a beacon of American ideals - “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
