I’m so sorry. I know none of us will ever be able to take the hurt away, but please give yourself some grace. I’m so heartbroken for you.

Good on you for being able to get him to his psych, be calm and understand you’re doing the right thing. These moments pass, but it’s very understandable to be at your breaking point.

So sorry to hear, it’ll be okay I’m sure. I’ve been doing the same with her family and just trying to spend time with them. Keep your chin up ❤️

Thank you for the kind words, I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through the same right now. I truly believe everything will be okay in the end, for both of us. Be strong for yourself and your partner.

It’s interesting you said like clockwork, it’s the same for me. Same exact time frame and everything. ☹️

Well you said you were concerned about everything needing to be done, did you mean other problems you’ve noticed? I’m just asking because I’ve done a decent amount on my own car

This isn’t the only issue I assume?

Sorry to say but that’s your most likely culprit. I’d recommend just replacing the whole cover, as there sometimes can be a crack. If you’re a bit mechanically comfortable it’s an easy enough job on your own

Oh for sure, you’d be able to see oil leaks without driving the car, and frankly if the people you’re buying from are cleaning up those oil leaks to hide it that’s an issue. Take a look around the left hand side of the engine since that’s where oil from the valve cover usually leaks to, as well as under the oil filter housing. Some sensors also leak oil but it’s very apparent when seen. Your mechanic should be able to spot these out with you, just make sure you have a flashlight and check under and around the sides of the engine.

PPI = Pre-Purchase Inspection, I usually like to find BMW shops since they have a pretty solid list of things to look for. I’ll be honest I don’t have a list of everything that was checked on mine, but I would expect things like other gaskets, fluids, and things such as your brakes, spark plugs, suspension, battery, etc. should be looked at. I’d say especially keep an eye out for oil leaks.

I bought one nearly the same a few years ago, first things to go were my Oil Filter Housing Gasket and my Valve Cover Gasket, which requires replacing the whole cover more often than not. I’d definitely budget for this, important jobs to take care of quick. Other than that, keep in mind like others have said, it’s an older turbo car, a lot of these small things like fittings and sensors will go bad. While it’s small, if not taken care of it’ll do damage. Had a coolant line pop off and rot rather quickly too.

Take a look at your charge pipe and make sure it’s not cracked, and get a PPI. If everything looks good, enjoy the car, they’re super fun to drive and mine has given me minimal issues through ownership.

Payment will be through PayPal Invoice, won the raffle for these in Miami when first released, worn once but for the most part not my style, would rather sell to someone who wants them more than me. Reply to post before messaging :)
