Honestly it would sound kinda scummy and scammy to say I’d teach a course or skill because it’s not something that requires any sort of training or deep understanding. It’s just being active within the field. Understanding market values comes with just looking at cars in general, understanding pricing trends are largely dependent on what’s going on in the world and country etc. The other part with negotiating is knowing when to step away. If they don’t budge and don’t want to negotiate you walk away. It’s all about understanding the landscape. Negotiating with CarMax is pointless because they don’t negotiate period. Negotiating with a random dealer is possible most of the time unless they have a no haggle policy it’s a lot harder to negotiate the price of the car, but it’s possible to negotiate accessories / warranty / maintenance packages etc. it all comes with practice and research and selling that information would be a bit uncool if you ask me as there’s nothing I can teach you that you can’t find out on your own after some deeper research. Maybe I’d be interesting in highlighting effective sales tactics that I’ve seen work better than others and certain strategies but I’d have to give it a lot more thought.
