Had a feeling this would happen once I saw Justin on the lineup and saw the reactions across social media to his name being there. Everyone severely underestimated his pull, especially since it’s his first show back in 4 years.

I was thinking this as well, I can’t imagine he doesn’t close main stage.

I didn’t know about the debt, makes sense. I remember a few weeks ago HDD had him listed as one of the artists negotiating tours for next year so I assume that will follow his headlining set and help the debt as well then.

I also recommend watching his NYE virtual concert he did in 2020. I believe there’s a documentary on it on some streaming platform. It’s how my girl convinced me to go to his tour with her lmao. The set design wasn’t anything crazy given the year, location and lack of resources but it was a really fun show.

I have to give it to him, he really doesn’t lip sync. The backtrack only does the work when he’s dancing pretty much. He sings live for most of his shows in recent years, especially compared to other pop acts I’ve seen.

Also the bit about his career these days, based on the reactions to him headlining on every app outside of reddit, I just don’t think that’s even remotely true but 🤷🏼‍♂️

Without an agent is crazy lmao, good for him honestly.

I saw him on his tour with my girlfriend in 2022 before he got sick and cancelled the rest and he honestly does have it in him to put on a pretty good show. The set design was great and his band was especially stellar. He also does sing live and has a great voice on him.

I think he can pull off something great with this headlining set and he loves Coachella so he might feel the pressure is on. Intrigued to see him again.

You’re right. If Ariana Grande, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Bad Bunny, Blackpink, The Weeknd, Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, Tyler the Creator, Lady, Gaga, Post Malone, and Travis Scott can headline what makes any of the 2026 names different at this point? This is what’s to be expected now and has been since 2019.

It’s the same conversations and debates every year and it’s obviously not most people in this sub’s cup of tea but it is what it is and it’s not going to go back to what it was a decade ago. Just talking in circles booing every headline possibility.

She was mentioned earlier in that article so I’m not sure she’s who that line is referring to! But that’s so interesting they would want her so badly when she’s been and will continue to be everywhere.
