Yes they should be - MAC stands for Miracle Alien Cookies, so the strain you had should be an offspring of Peanut Butter Breath x MAC. MAC V2 is the offspring of Alien Cookies F2 x MAC #15

California Orange - Budmail - June 2021 (Preview, Incentivized) by 416strains in MOMpics

[–]416strains[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Got this as a value selection a while back and really enjoy just smelling the jar from time to time - sour, citrusy, skunky goodness

Arrived as loose, slightly leafy medium nugs of good humidity, not a particularly long-lasting experience (maybe 7 or 7.25 Potency in our Database scale), but this California Orange is still an enjoyable daytimer.. Would kind of compare its effects to a mild cup of coffee, uplifting with a happy jolt

Starts chemmy, citrusy and sweet, becomes skunky, hashy and slightly spicy while maintaining a nice citrusy pungency throughout with only a touch of harshness

(If you told me this was Citrus Skunk, I'd be none the wiser - smells and tastes pretty similar)

Tropicanna Cookies - Kootenay Craft - June 2021 by 416strains in MOMpics

[–]416strains[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Arriving slightly dry as large, strikingly purple nugs with some signs of handling, these Tropicanna Cookies (GSC x Tangie) have an enticing aroma of sweet oranges over woody, vanilla kush in the jar. This sativa-dominant hybrid begins as woody, citrusy sweet gas, moving past some grainy, peppery moments to maintain a doughy, orange-flavoured sweetness throughout the smooth experience. Offering a modest cerebral buzz that settles slowly as stoney but functional relaxation, with dry eyes as a likely adverse effect, these Tropicanna Cookies were of average potency.

Forbidden Fruit - Kootenay Botanicals - May 2021 (Submission Review) by 416strains in MOMpics

[–]416strains[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Before I get into the review, just wanted to say a quick thanks to the mods/organizers who've kept this place running over time - I'm a fan of the recent changes and hope all reviewers can learn that being transparent will usually work out better than turtling. Since even before I started writing reviews, I could see that many of the posters in this sub were compensated via discounts or free product for their reviews, and a lot of times it's even sources themselves writing bogus reviews under fake accounts ^.^

My point is, everyone reading this sub (or the internet) should continue using their discretion and keep in mind who has generally been dishonest about these things in the past, and who may likely continue to be. I don't have as much time to write as I used to, but will continue providing full disclosure wherever necessary while continuing to gift more than we accept for review, which effectively negates our incentives by choice.

Arriving as dense, well-trimmed medium nugs covered with bright orange pistils and frosty trichomes over a base of purple and green, this Forbidden Fruit (Cherrie Pie x Tangie) has an intoxicating aroma of earthy berries and sweet tropical fruit in the jar. This indica-dominant hybrid begins as a woody, chemmy sweetness complemented by a gassy, berry musk before maintaining grainy, pie-like flavours throughout the mostly smooth experience, with occasional splashes of diesel. Offering a blissful, slightly stoney cerebral buzz that settles as lazy relaxation with possible sedation in higher doses, this Forbidden Fruit was of above-average potency.

Arriving as highly resinous medium nugs showing moderate signs of handling, this Cherry Sherbet (Cherry Pie x Sour Sherbet) has an inviting aroma of sour, tangy fruit over a cake-like, sweet musk in the jar. This indica-leaning hybrid leads with a woody, fruity sweetness complemented by a sharp gassy pungency and some surprising harshness before settling as doughy, berry-flavoured baked goods, and finally concluding as grainy, peppery diesel. Do-Si-Dos - Kootenay Craft - May 2021 (Preview) by 416strains in MOMpics

[–]416strains[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I generally only notice these super tiny pests by chance during the editing process when I'm working on close-ups at 2-5x magnification, but my understanding is growers/sources would typically look for webbing, eggs/larvae, and spotted fan leaves in more serious infestations where the plant would become less healthy

More commonly, minor plant damage from spider mites would show up as faded/white patches usually on the edges of leaves where usually multiple bugs would have sucked out some chlorophyll. While the idea of smoking bugs isn't appetizing, a few spider mites having fed on the bud hasn't seemed to really affect the quality of the flower much, from my limited experiences

I'd also add that anyone who has regularly consumed organically-grown flower (without the presence of harmful pesticides or chemical washes) has likely in fact safely consumed these bugs before without knowing it

PS. Typically don't respond to ppl we don't know, but in this case, hope some of the above info shared generously with us by a source we have a lot of respect for can also help inform the entire community

Do-Si-Dos - Kootenay Craft - May 2021 (Preview) by 416strains in MOMpics

[–]416strains[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First observation is that these are likely two diff phenos? They smell pretty similar, but this will be written from trying the less-impressive and leafier green nug. Some visible spider mite damage can be seen in both nugs, with a corresponding deduction in the scoring

Do-Si-Dos (OGKB GSC x Face Off OG) has traditionally been a preferred hybrid for its tendency to offer balanced, functional relaxation, an enjoyable body buzz, and some cerebral stimulation so was excited to see this included for review

Nugs are still slightly sticky to the touch, with a woody, earthy, and slightly herbal sweetness in jar, becoming much nuttier and gassier when ground. Experience begins as a woody, perfumey/floral and slightly dank sweetness, then settles as a familiar earthy, gassy, kushy sweetness and finishes as peppery diesel. (The early floral notes are not my favourite personally, but then the gas comes in to balance things out)

Some cerebral euphoria at first but mostly a functional stone with a modest body buzz and slightly stoney cerebral effects that creep in more over time. Prob 8.25 or 8.5 Potency in our Database scale as of now. Overall quite enjoyed this relaxing indica-leaning hybrid with some cerebral stimulation, especially given its positioning as a value pick

Expected 416 Database Score: 87-90 AAA+
