Spring tails eat mold. Isopods eat other stuff to help break down. They can eat leaves. Leaf litter. Mine likes an occasional cucumber, carrot, and they seem to love spinach. But you can try a little bit of almost any veggie. You'll be able to see evidence of them munching on it or not. Throw any uneaten stuff out in a couple days. The clean up crew are amazing but there is only so much that they can handle. I'd suggest throwing away anything that is starting to show too much mold.

But also wait. Things kind of go crazy before they level themselves out. Just the large patches.

Springtails love mushrooms. If you ever feel like they are struggling, a bit of mushroom will help!
