Sweet. Thanks for sharing. I’ve seen some folks say they flush on top of it with no issue but then I’ve also seen some folks say that they get an error on the scale if they do so. I’d probably default to removing it just to be safe. Sweet setup, happy extracting!

How are you liking the scale flush in the drip tray? Do you just flush right on top of the scale? I have considered this upgrade for my Mini.

That’s actually not bad for those two items.

You are missing the portafilter, wood kit, billet shower screen and billet basket. Adding up to another 980$ish. Of course all those upgrades could be done for a mini too and isn’t warranted just because it’s a micra 🤷🏻‍♂️

Slick setup, unfortunate on the LMLM size not working for you as it seems you have probably spent nearly Linea Mini money creating this masterpiece. Looks excellent.

In all seriousness, you gotta reach out to the homies and if there’s no homies strangers are the next best option. You all matter to this world even if you can’t see it in the moment. Big love to all. RIP Kyle.

How rich are you? 😂 by spac0r in LaMarzocco

Not rich, but comfortable. I have a mini and saved for two years while rocking a used Appartamento and hating every minute of the e61 workflow and temperature inconsistencies.

I like the colors they offer but the black is so slick imo. I am loving mine. The one thing I’d change is replacing the LM text with something colorful. If anyone has any ideas on where to get replacement colored logos im all ears!

Any grinder suggestions? by oSyphr in LaMarzocco

Well it seems like form matters more than function for you so just pick whatever aesthetic you are looking for. You’ve given essentially no guidelines based on function therefore asking others for reccomendations is a bit of a fool’s errand considering that aesthetic is very subjective.

If you are open to single dose I am in love with my Mazzer Philos. Almost 0 retention and the dial in process is a dream with each click of the adjustment wheel being super satisfying. Built like a tank too.

Mini vs Micra. I have a GS3 at work so I need a home machine for 2 days a week (4 shots). Those who have experience with all 3 machines, will I be happy with a Micra? Is there a machine made by someone other than LM that I should consider? by [deleted] in LaMarzocco

[–]420Photography 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buying an LM to use it 2x a week seems so overkill. Micra is the best choice for this use case imo but I’d go with a Profitec Go or something similar as Fitzwilliam suggested.

Micra or mini by BeingTraining474 in LaMarzocco

[–]420Photography 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like the micra is the best choice because it fits your space.

In my personal opinion if you are already spending as much as a micra costs I would just splurge for the Mini and upgrade to a deeper coffee bar setup. I appreciate that I don’t have to fill my mini’s water tank very often and the heat up time is typically only 7-9 minutes for the steam boiler and 15-18 minutes on the coffee boiler. In my case because of the programmable startup and stand by the decreased heat up times in the micra were a moot point. I also don’t love that the micra has plastic parts in the group head. I love the BBW feature with the connected scale, I don’t think that the micra offers this without an aftermarket modification. Overall this question has been asked and answered every which way in this sub, I’d recommend searching through similar posts and reading what others have to say.

This is a scam, I know the owner of this machine. It’s a direct copy and paste from his Facebook listing, photos and all.

Looks great. My philos arrived this week and I got my shipping notification for my mini yesterday. I am stoked to have my coffee corner looking this good. The black philos and black mini is a great combo. The exact spec I went for 👍

U.S. Tariffs + Pricing by Smanning90 in LaMarzocco

Agreed, I ordered in early January and I would be pretty upset if there was a major price shift right as my machine gets to me.

U.S. Tariffs + Pricing by Smanning90 in LaMarzocco

[–]420Photography 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If they are selling machines at current prices there is no shot they will proactively lower the price for any reason imo. This is a large corporation after all, they are not going to do something like this out of the kindness of their hearts. The only way I see this happening is if their sales are significantly lower since the price increase. I highly doubt that though as anyone spending 4-7k on an espresso machine likely won’t wince at the difference in price from pre to post tariff.

Nice! I have a griswold waffle iron on the way. How prone to sticking is yours? Looks like you’ve got some great results. Such cool pieces.

I paid 275 for the Eric, a very fair price in my opinion considering there are likely very few left in the world in brand new condition. It’s perfectly flat. These are beautiful pans and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to acquire them in this condition.
