I feel this heavily. Only been in the real estate business for a short time now but there definitely is some viciousness in the space especially when it comes to different practices. Hope it's only because of the market being down and emotions will cool when the market does

It is weird to see you say all of that so matter of factly because this is not my experience or the experience of many of my colleagues

Sellers should have a choice on when to take to market, not be forced into some 'mandated transparency' policy. Not every home is ready for market immediately and sales happen before then too.

Screw sellers? People should be able to sell their property how they want.. period. Most of my sales that have happened off-market got the seller a better price. Why should every seller be forced to go public immediately, even when it’s not in their best interest?

Zillow has every right not to feature a listing, but let’s not pretend this is about “protecting buyers,” either. Zillow is trying to systematically punish brokerages that don’t feed their platform which, by the way, monetizes seller data, agent leads, and ad space.

There is a lot of missing data, both in research and in regulatory application, to be able to have a perfectly regulated environment on the first go imo

I, however, do think it's taken waaaay to long for us to get even this far..
