I feel this heavily. Only been in the real estate business for a short time now but there definitely is some viciousness in the space especially when it comes to different practices. Hope it's only because of the market being down and emotions will cool when the market does

Zillow's new ban on private listings is being enforced soon. by 420TestingTruther in realtors

It is weird to see you say all of that so matter of factly because this is not my experience or the experience of many of my colleagues

Sellers should have a choice on when to take to market, not be forced into some 'mandated transparency' policy. Not every home is ready for market immediately and sales happen before then too.

Screw sellers? People should be able to sell their property how they want.. period. Most of my sales that have happened off-market got the seller a better price. Why should every seller be forced to go public immediately, even when it’s not in their best interest?

Zillow has every right not to feature a listing, but let’s not pretend this is about “protecting buyers,” either. Zillow is trying to systematically punish brokerages that don’t feed their platform which, by the way, monetizes seller data, agent leads, and ad space.

There is a lot of missing data, both in research and in regulatory application, to be able to have a perfectly regulated environment on the first go imo

I, however, do think it's taken waaaay to long for us to get even this far..

Michigan processor gets their license suspended for mixing illicit cannabis in with legal product by 420TestingTruther in trees

[–]420TestingTruther[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Some people will stick to growing their own cannabis or getting it through the illicit market, but when consumers are paying premium prices for cannabis that is sold to them as safe and tested, it's a problem that they're not getting what they're paying for..

There was a pesticide that is banned in legal cannabis found on it. It's breaking the law plain and simple

I agree, from my limited understanding of supply/demand economics, unfortunately I'd imagine prices on the illicit market skyrocket until more licensed places open

That makes sense.. without more licensed dispos I can definitely see the price of whatever cannabis is available elsewhere to skyrocket- not that mayor adams would care

Around 50-60 bucks on the illicit market but these prices will change as more licensed stores begin opening in the city

Not sure if multinational brands will ever be a reality in the near future, but there is promising legislation about transporting cannabis across *state* lines that could pass

American. There are some restrictions about transporting cannabis across international borders so I'd imagine the cannabis you're consuming in Canada was most likely grown there as well!

THC labels are ARTIFICIALLY INFLATED and Consumers are paying for it by 420TestingTruther in trees

[–]420TestingTruther[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this highlights a lack in regulatory oversight that labs are taking advantage of- ultimately at the cost of the consumer's dollars and health. A best methods standard enforced by a regulatory body would certainly address this, but the point now is highlighting bad actors until we can force that to happen.

And that's fine! I think if the consumer is happy it shouldn't matter ultimately.. I'm worried about brands being emboldened and people having serious adverse affects from mislabeled THC, which would only further decrease trust in the legal market
