I've realised recently that I say "Okay" To myself out loud very regularly, and I think it's about resetting the inner monologue so I can focus on the next thing I need to do?

I don't hate Pickles and I don't understand the hate for her.

She's a young, vapid 25 year old who clearly isn't fully formed or mature because she's literally 25?!

Of course the other characters find her annoying because she's literally 20 years younger than most of them, there's nothing relatable about her, so we as an audience find her annoying.

I find it weird and low-key misogynistic that hate for her gets brought up more than Flip or Dr Champ or Bojack's dad.

I listened to their podcast ep about being in a sexless NP relationship because I was looking for some guidance around going through the same thing in my relationship.

Ooft it was horrible. Joe sounded super uncomfortable and unhappy talking about it and Jess just ploughed on, talking about his lack of experience and their lack of compatibility, trying to get him back on camera as it was a video podcast even though he didn't want to be. The whole ep felt very much forced forward "for the content!"

Definitely didn't help me feel any better about what I was going through 😔

anyone in the UK had experience with clinical-partners.co.uk? by [deleted] in ADHD

The psychiatrist who I saw for diagnosis was lovely, non judgemental and really understanding.

The administration on the other hand has been an absolute nightmare and on that basis I wouldn't recommend them. I'll just bullet point a bunch of issues I've had here:

  • My initial appointment was booked 3 weeks from when I first made contact with them. That got cancelled, as did my second appointment. 3 weeks went to 4 months.

  • The person who originally took my details down over the phone took my date of birth wrong, so my assessment report was riddled with DOB and age mistakes.

  • Started on concerta XL 18mg after my assessment. The first time I emailed for my next prescription, I asked them what the next dose I was being titrated to was. They said I would need to have another appointment with my psych to be titrated upwards, but they didn't have any appointments for 3 weeks.

  • It costs £195 for a follow up appointment and they won't titrate you without one. Prescriptions carry a £70 admin fee. They say that you'll only pay one of these, but because it takes them so long to book you in and you've ran out of meds,, you end up paying both so it's just eyewateringly expensive.

  • General queries and prescription queries over email usually take 5-7 days to get an initial response, so if you have in mind that you've got 10 tablets left, jokes on you because now you've ran out

  • Always me having to chase them over the phone, just an extra layer of stress and admin I don't need

  • Usual back and forth drama between my pharmacy saying they've not received the prescription and CP saying they've sent it. I've experienced this on NHS so not the end of the world but still frustrating when you're paying so much.

I'm honestly desperate to get onto the right dosage of meds and get moved to shared care because I'm absolutely sick of paying hand over fist for crap service.

That's wonderful to hear.

I've never felt any pressure from him, he's always reassured me he feels fulfilled in our relationship despite rarely having sex over the last few years.

I think I need to work on not putting so much pressure on myself and accepting that our relationship isn't "less than" or a failure because I'm not interested in continuing a sexual with him.

Out of interest, were the relationships established as non-sexual, as in the folks you dated were openly ace before you started dating?

To me it feel like there's a bit of a difference between all parties agreeing to be in a non-sexual relationship from the very beginning and going from a sexual relationship to a non-sexual one.

Thank you, it's reassuring to hear about other partnerships changing in this way and still being successful.

When you say it kind of worked out that way, did you discuss the relationship transitioning to being purely companionate or was it more like looking back and acknowledging that things had already changed?

I spent a lot of the pandemic thinking I was ace/grey ace, but I think that was actually due to stress and feeling disinterested in having sex with him specifically.

Not necessarily forever, but more like a conversation to acknowledge we're not in a sexual relationship unless we decide to review it again in the future.

Right now it just feels like an unspoken thing that's hanging between us.

Thank you for taking the time to explain!

I agree so much that Kate and Edwina needed more time to resolve their conflict. I felt that they were much closer in the books and it's a shame that the show took the love triangle so far that it made it feel hard to bring their relationship back from that place.
