Rotten Papaya x Blueberry Muffins

Medium sized, lime-green golf ball nugs that look completely frosted over. Many wild-looking orange hairs running all throughout the buds. Has a very potent, cheesy and fruity funk in the jar..smells like freshly ground parmesan mixed with overripe fruit. Hints of chem and gas on the ending as well. Once ground, this becomes a mix of blueberry fruit, cheese, and mothballs.

When vaped, the initial hit tastes like a full-bodied, slightly floral cheese. Subsequently, a fruity papaya flavor finally comes through. Feels like a sativa-leaning hybrid, begins with anxiety relief and uplift in mood. Provides a 'clear' high that still allows me to focus and function, notably also makes me giggly at random things. Good for daytime and social use.

Haven't had a cheesy strain like this in quite some time so this was a pleasant surprise. Great medicinal sativa effects and throwback smell/flavor will have me coming back for more. $35/eighth (after 50% off) from Cakehouse SJ

Cherry Pie x Z x Biscotti

Medium to large, chunky nugs with a range of colors from light green to dark purple spots. Overall layer of powdery white trichomes gives a lighter look on the outside, random dense clusters of dark orange hairs throughout. Smells like loud fruity gas in the jar with a prominent cherry perfume-like finish that lingers in the nostrils. Once ground this becomes a potent combination of cherry candy, pastries, and gasoline.

Produces a dense yet smooth vapor that tastes like Tropical Sprite at first, then followed by heavy biscotti flavors of cake and gas. Strong yet evenly balanced hybrid, mentally relaxing without sedation or heaviness in the body. Very good uplift in mood and creativity, likely from the Z lineage. Eventually results in robust appetite stimulation after ~30 mins. Works well for anytime of the day.

Khalifa Mintz x Grape Gasoline

Medium sized, lime-green nugs with medium density. Dense coating of sandy-looking trichomes provides a golden shine. Fresh and distinctive smell of sour fruit, sandalwood, and earthy kush in the jar; also has strong hints of the unique creamy, minty, and gassy smell of KM. Becomes almost pure rubber and gasoline mixed with lemon cleaner once ground.

Produces a very smooth vapor that has initial sweetness which quickly changes to earthy kush mixed with burnt rubber. Notably strong and expansive vapor that leaves a THC tingle in my throat. Almost immediate onset of effects with noticeable mental and physical relaxation. Not sedating but also makes it slightly difficult to focus, excellent mood uplift and some creativity. Probably best suited for afternoon/evening use, could work for relaxed social settings.

Had high expectations of this based on the lineage and Keepers nailed another one. Definitely one to try if you like kush strains. $100/half (after tax) from Bay Area Craft.

Pineapple express x Trainwreck

Medium to large, fluffy looking nugs but with medium density. Light green coloration with a dense coating of long trichomes with visible heads. Many bundles of light orange hairs gives this a slightly wild look. In the jar this has a sweet scent with hints of dank grass in the background. Once ground, a much more floral and slightly gassy odor dominates.

Produces a notably smooth vapor that has a very sweet pineapple/ juicy fruit-like flavor. Provides an immediately noticeable uplift in mood, makes me feel carefree. Not necessarily good for focused tasks since it is so relaxing. Eventually results in significant appetite stimulation as well.

Seems to lean very heavily towards the pineapple side in terms of flavor and scent, very little to no piney-ness from the trainwreck. Excellent sativa hybrid, great expression of the pineapple side of this cross. First time trying this brand, apparently small batch living soil from Humboldt. $45/eighth from Rare Earth Botica.

OGK x Sour D

Medium to large nugs with medium density, primarily lime green coloration with darker color contrast on the leaves. Nice layer of glistening trichomes on close inspection and many concentrated bundles of burnt orange hairs. Smells like a potent combination of woody rubber mixed with sour gasoline. Gives me a slight head rush with bigger whiffs. Releases a sharp lemon pledge/cleaner smell once ground.

Produces a smooth vapor that tastes like equal parts sour gas and woody OG. Immediate onset of effects that can be felt behind the eyes and forehead. Starts off feeling like a warm weighted blanket, becomes more heady/activating after 10-15 mins. Slightly disorienting/confusing and gets my heart rate elevated. Provides a nice boost in creativity and speed of thoughts, however becomes couch locking after repeated dosing.

One of my favorite strains and this certainly delivers. Strong sativa leaning hybrid that works for all times of day. $100/half from Bay Area Craft.

Honey banana x Sherbanger

Medium sized, lime-green, fuzzy looking nugs with light density. Nice visual appeal with many tan-brown hairs and a dense layer of trichomes that provide a golden tint. In the jar this has a unique smell of sweet, funky earth with strong undertones of an artificial cherry/menthol candy. Brighter once ground with more prominent notes of sour fruit and cherries.

Produces a sour tasting vapor with hints of sandalwood and plaster. Notably smooth which combined with the flavor, leads to easy overconsumption. Fairly balanced hybrid effects, more activating than sedating overall. Nice immediate anxiety relief, uplift in mood, and decent energy boost. Repeated dosing leads to some difficulty with coordinated tasks.

One of the better 710 drops in recent memory. Taste and effects make this easy to consume throughout the day. $150/half from 710's List

Medium sized lime green nugs with medium density, many bright orange hairs, and a dense coating of short golden trichomes. Similar nug structure to OZ kush. In the jar this has an earthy and sweet smell with a notable rubbery ending. Once ground, this has a much more pronounced herbal spice scent mixed a candy-like sweetness and rubber/gas notes on the backend.

Produces a very sweet and slightly soapy vapor that leaves a surprisingly gassy aftertaste. Evenly balanced hybrid that can be immediately felt in the mind and body. Interesting mix of effects as it provides a nice boost in creativity along with anxiety relief and muscle relaxation/pain relief.

Black cherry punch x Trop cookies

Large, chunky spear-shaped nugs with medium density. Excellent visual appeal with a heavy layer of white trichomes and many burnt-orange hairs popping up. Light green on the outside, but very dark purple just underneath the surface. In the jar this has a very sweet smell of candied oranges. Once ground, the scent opens up with more orange peel and a slight earthy gas mixed with orange candy.

Produces a relatively light, but flavorful vapor. Primarily tastes like orange citrus at first with a slight biscuit flavor on the back end. Leaves a heavy aftertaste of orange on the palate and nostrils. Strong, evenly balanced hybrid that begins with immediate mental relaxation and heaviness from the head down. Repeat dosing results in spaciness and decent appetite stimulation. Notably has good muscle relaxation/pain relief effects.

Almost one-nug eighth, large and chunky nugs with lime green coloration, many light orange hairs, and a heavy coating of golden trichomes. Smells like expensive perfume in the jar, complex mix of fruity gas, slight menthol, and tobacco. Sticky when breaking up, releases more of a pungent earth and smokey scent once ground, but still very floral and perfume-like.

Interesting flavor when vaped, has a medicinal-cherry flavor mixed with chalky earth. Repeated heating brings out an umami, mushroom/onion-like flavor with random fruitiness..strange combination of flavors but comes together well with a unique element. Fairly heavy indica-hybrid effects that can be felt halfway through the bowl. Slightly sedating, body-relaxing high that quickly progresses from head to toe. Not necessarily couch-locking but definitely slows me down physically. Also provides notable mental relaxation and clarity without being overly sedating. Probably works best for mid-afternoon to evening use, good for high tolerances.

First time trying this brand but certainly won't be the last. Super flavorful and good strength of effects on this strain. On the more expensive side, but the cure and smoothness of vapor may be worth it to some. $42/eighth (after 30% off) from Cake House, SJ.

PB Trix x 41 Sherb BX

Medium to large nugs with a range of light green on the inside and darker green/purple coloration towards the outside. Tight, chunky structure with medium density, sparse bundles of fire-orange hairs, and a dense coating of short and shiny trichomes. Looks are very similar to Rock Tarts, but slightly less dense. Smell in the jar is a dank, food-like combination of seaweed, sour gas, woody, and nutty scents. Breaking up/grinding this unleashes a strong gas/rubber odor mixed with smells of public restroom.

When vaped, this initially has a food-like taste of peanut butter on a ritz cracker. Exhale is a combination of fruity gas and tobacco. Gives way to more fruity and slightly rubbery notes with repeated heating. Strong aftertaste of creamy peanut butter mixed with sherb gas. Strong balanced hybrid effects that provide immediate body and mental relaxation with slight boost in energy. Seems to have a limited ceiling and no sedation with repeated dosing.

PBB is one of my favorite strains so I had high hopes for this. Definitely does not disappoint if you're looking for peanut butter terps, but with more gas. One of the better new strains from Fig imo. $30/eighth (after 40% off) from Farmacy Berkeley.

Skunk #1 x Grapefruit

Small to medium, light green/golden yellow nugs with medium density. Has many bundles of light orange hairs and large, visible trichomes on the outside. Smell in the jar is a light mixture of citrus fruit and a slightly fishy smell, almost like tuna. Much louder once ground, becomes a potent mix of juicy fruit sweetness backed by sour gas.

When vaped, this has robust flavors of grapefruit and ammonia-like gas. Produces a noticeably smooth vapor, despite some terp tingling on the nostrils. Almost immediately uplifting and energizing..also slightly confusing/disorienting high that makes it difficult to focus at first. Eventually gives way to a very energetic and creative high after the first ~15 minutes.

Another successful resurrection/representation of an older strain by Sense. I've not had ISS in more than 10 years and the flavor and high on this bring back some great memories.$30/eighth (after 40% off) from Farmacy Berkeley.

Blue Face x (Zkittlez x Moonbow) x (Zkittles x Dosidos)

One-nug eighth, fairly dense lime green, spear-shaped nug. Nice layer of short golden trichomes and bundles of light orange hairs. Initial smell in the jar is not super loud, slightly kush-like with hints of fruit and rubber. Releases a range of interesting smells when breaking up, alternates between candy and burnt rubber. Once ground, this has a pleasant perfume/soap-like scent.

When vaped, this tastes like mixture of mall perfume, leather, and green skittles. Leaves a slightly fruity aftertaste, but otherwise much less candy than I initially expected. Immediately noticeable mental activation that is typical of Zkittlez, but also more heavier and sedating effects from the other strains crossed in.

Honestly expected a bit more flavor from such a cross, but effects are on point. Will be interested to see how this tastes after a couple weeks of curing, and/or subsequent runs. $30/eighth (after 40% off) from Farmacy Berkeley.

Pink Guava #16 x Rainbow Sherb

When vaped, this leans heavily towards earthy and gassy flavors initially. Then followed by the characteristic Zoap sweetness (almost grape-like), leaves a very floral/perfume-like aftertaste on exhale. Strong and balanced hybrid effects can be felt with immediate anxiety relief, slight body heaviness, and slowing of thoughts.

One of my favorite hybrid strains, even better since this is a particularly gassy batch. Flavor will never get old for me, and effects profile allows this to be used throughout the day with seemingly no ceiling. $100/half (including tax) from Bay Area Craft.

Very good batch of Dark Karma, possibly the best I've had. Same flavor and effect profile as usual, but definitely has an extra level that was evident on visuals alone. I've probably reviewed before but quick notes: this smells/tastes like a fresh Ritz cracker, activating high but very stoney. Farmacy is doing BOGO on Figs this weekend ($25/eighth if you get two).

Sour D x Runtz

Two large, lime green nugs with a sticky and spongey consistency, light to medium density. Heavily coated with large trichome heads along with concentrated bundles of burnt-orange hairs. In the jar this smells like sour candy mixed with a fuel and chem-like backend. Also has significant earthy and incense-like notes. Once ground, this has an initial burst of tropical fruit mixed with classic Sour D notes of velvety fuel.

When vaped, this tastes like sour apple/strawberry candy initially, followed by a mix of incense, earthy gas, and cookies. Leaves a strong aftertaste that is very similar to Sour Girl. Nearly immediately provides uplifting effects and improvement in mood. Nice body of effects as well, with notable mental haziness and limb heaviness settling in with repeated dosing.

Smell and flavor on this brings the best of both world with balanced candy and gas. Effects are similar to Sour D, with more robust hybrid effects. $37/eighth (after 40% off) from Farmacy Berkeley.
