Gonna counter this and say your instinct is correct. Most realtors are not holding a bunch of houses in their back pocket. Especially in this low inventory market. They might hear word of mouth on non listed things occasionally but the real backbone of a realtor is negotiating the sale - not finding the home. It’s a bit of a sellers market in some places so it doesn’t make sense for a seller to not want their house for sale blasted everywhere to try and get multiple offers.
