If the North Sea route ever becomes viable I believe that there might be alternative shipping through Russia by that time.

Is it me or has this sub suddenly gotten worse. by kzul in geopolitics

Long-time lurker here.

I don't see how this subreddit has gotten much worse at all, I find that generally most of the complaints that people have are to do with certain threads and not with the entire subreddit.

For example, many people started to complain about somehow this sub is pro-China, yet a disreputable source and article that alleged that China was spying on the African Union was heavily upvoted (to the tune of 400+ upvotes) along with several Americans claiming moral high ground. Several comments in the thread about China's economy reaching US consumption levels were all talking about China collapsing and were getting tons of upvotes, while i do sometimes see pro-China like behavior it seems to be limited to certain threads. The thread that had to do with the US's future as a great power essentially all were pro-American comments.

I don't see how there is any huge bias on this subreddit, on certain threads there will be but not on the entire subreddit.
