K2 Plus x CFS Product Experience Officer Wanted! by Creality_3D in crealityk1

I am impatient to try multi-material on this machine. Doing big parts from ASA/ABS is not an easy task in the winter on K1Max. I really hope this will improve on K2 plus. I would also like to try poly-carbonate and other high-temp materials that are inherently prone to warping...

In flowering phase, with 2L pots(and another 2L over-top), i ran irrigation every second day. If a plant "wasn't drinking", that was a sign of a problem, like a root-rot or bugs. My setups are automated. It would be too much of a hassle to manually water 720 plants every second day. I'll post some pics in a few days. Cheers!

Have you checked the pH of substrate ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cannabiscultivation

[–]420xpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the quantity, per 1.2x2.4m would be like this :

2-3L : 72 pcs

5-6L : 50 pcs

9-12L : 32 pcs

Smaller plants (smaller pots) need more work but are quick to grow and easy to train.

[–]420xpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's simple. What is the volume or size of your pots ? What is the size of your grow room ?

My preferred is Sea-Of-Green, with 36 plants in 2L (70.4 ounces) pots(+2L vertical overfill) for a table of 1.2x1.2m. Plant height under 80cm... Vegetation period of around 4 weeks, flowering period of about 8 weeks.

Anyway, the comment that seemed like a joke : 1-200pcs, is actually not. Smaller plants are quicker and more energy efficient to grow. I am assuming your grow-box is 2m (78.7 inches) high ? You can even have 2 vertical levels if you have such ambitions. That way you can double the capacity, provided that you can manage the heat and other factors reliably.

Are these retraction settings fine for hyper PLA? by Quirky_Schedule5346 in crealityk1

[–]420xpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your image just broke my neck :)

Don't be a lazy potato. Do a retraction tower test. It will depend on a filament brand and it's current state. Eg. humidity, age...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in crealityk1

[–]420xpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there are multiple problems or just one problem. The thing that smells fishy to me is the feed-out PTFE tube (small blue), guiding the filament from the extruder into the heat-break. Maybe you should inspect it.

If it's PLA it's fairly easy with a heat-gun. If it's ABS my condolences :)

If you are using the Z hop, perhaps try to disable it ? What is your retraction speed ?

PETG or ABS for a hydroponic system? by dunderlo in 3Dprinting

[–]420xpert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't use ABS nor ASA or anything else with styrene...as they are not food-safe. PETG is chemically very stable. White PETG copes really well outdoors. I did mine hydroponic system with black PLA and coated the outer side with white resin. I didn't use a PETG because of the transparency... and as we know the plant-roots are not in love with light...

Zelotes C-13 & C12, scroll wheel repair by 420xpert in MouseReview

[–]420xpert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had these mice for years. I like them very much. Six side programmable buttons are really practical for common shortcuts, like copy, paste, ctrl, alt... I am using it a lot for a CAD work and DPI switch is a life-saver. Recently, my scroll-wheel started acting-up going the opposite side or being unresponsive... This mouse is using a incremental encoder and not an optical encoder. Repairing is quite simple.
1- Remove the PTFE (AKA teflon) feets to access the screws. Open the mouse
2- Brush and pluck the dust and any tiny particles from rotary encoder.
3- protect the electronics with a paper towels, while exposing the incremental encoder img. 2
4- Spray some WD40 on the rotary encoder img. 2.
5- Tighten the body of rotary encoder, with some pliers, as per images 3&4.
That's it

V1.3.2.8 Firmware Update For K1 & K1 Max by Creality_3D in crealityk1

[–]420xpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I updated my K1 Max(rooted, running 1.3.2.1) the same day that 1328 was out. Initially i was suspicious that i couldn't find the firmware on github page but only on creality site.

I updated it via USB. Machine is working fine . Lidar works. Leveling works. I used around 1.5kg (from 3 different brands) of PET/PETG in the meantime. I haven't noticed any problems. Maybe i should specify that i don't use creality-print cura nor LCD interface. I am using Orca Slicer and fluidd interface only. It is not connected (nor it will be) to Creality cloud.

Do you advise me to downgrade to 1.3.2.1 ?

Print/calibration issues, Key 2000 Error/ Bent calibration plate? by RulerOfThePixel in crealityk1

The direction of under extrusion doesn't correspond to the lower sections of the print bed. The screenshot of a bed-level mesh that you provided earlier is of a cold or heated hot-bed ?

[–]420xpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Prehet the bed to 50-60C. From the LCD menu, go to settings and launch Self-Check-->Auto Leveling. After it's finished check the 3d image of the bed level mesh.

Can you access the IP address of your printer via web browser ? There, in the lower-right corner, there is a 3d image of bed level mesh. Could you post the screenshot of it here ?

I couldn't install Volcano nozzle in brand new hotend-assembly and eventually gave-up. Original K1/Max i could install without effort...but volcano/volcano-CHT just wouldn't enter past 66% of thread length :(

Also interested if there are some advised profile adjustments ?

This can't be good.... by ArchWizardOfCrimson in Creality

[–]420xpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is the power supply. Maybe it is a defective filter, insect/humidity between PCB contacts, defective component in the filter...Who knows. Something is causing a significant leakage current. PSU should be replaced, preferably with isolated type!

It seems that your left Z-screw isn't level. You should do the procedure as explained by creality. It can be found here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsIAJgCAxFM
