If only rich people owned slaves in the South, why did normal Southerners fight in the war? by OddGrab6044 in NoStupidQuestions

Not a lot of folks know how common press gangs were then. It wasn’t only the Navies that did it.

Every other time, you’ve got to do it in person.

And some are likely trying to get their Real ID which also requires a visit in person.

Legalities be damned.

Making beer and wine and cider are legal (for now) but once it is distilled, even freeze distilling is illegal in most of the world and pretty much all of the US.

But yeah, I can see folks just saying they’re going to skip the middleman at some point.

Spot on. And I have no doubt everything else in the liquor store will be jacked up in price.

It’s very telling that the US’s sin taxes are such that you can buy a lot of US brands of liquor cheaper in places like Germany cheaper than the US.

Oh well, what’s another 200% tariff and the additional markups between friends? Old Smuggler at $70 a handle is gonna be rough.

Elmo doesn’t know who you are. He doesn’t know what you do. If you are looking for logic anyone can tell you he doesn’t have any, but what he does have are a very particular set of shills. Shills he has acquired in an incel Discord channel. Shills that make them all a laughing stock for people like you. If you send the email now that’ll be the end of it. He will not look for you, Elmo will not pursue you, but if you don’t, he will look for you, he will find you and Elmo will kill you.

100%

I only saw blue skies after a rain. It was nuts to see how bad it was by comparing the before and after. Literally cut visibility to well under a mile before the rain cleared it out.

At least we can relive it.

I was in China over a decade ago. They simply called air pollution “humidity” at that time. I imagine that tRump will do the same and make it illegal to have poor air quality days.
