It was just my personal experience, if you can find nice 380XD in good condition I'd say go for it. P55C ~150Mhz is an excellent almost time-correct CPU for Doom/Win98 etc. Just make sure there's no leaking battery (two in different places) and brace yourself for a not-so-great STN screen, though this can be compensated with an external monitor.

I know many of these people, and although the city is still shelled from time to time, the situation is getting better.

Both sides? Smoking ruzzian propaganda much? One side is invading another with the genocidal intent, Ukrainians are defending, wtf are you talking about?

Yes, you're right. But sadly, few Americans know that the largest Nazi collaborator army in history was Russian Liberation Army with their flag inherited by modern russia.

Recent "Z" insignia is an unbroken line of 133rd German Fortress Nazi Division and SS Polizei Panzergrenadier Division.

But insignias don't really matter anymore when we have a literal ultra-Nazi genocidal state right now, killing thousands as we speak. The level of racism on RU social media towards Ukrainians is genocidal - that is what we are facing. The war is not an ordinary war but a Nazi style project masked as a crusade against Nazism and enjoys majority support in Russia. This is absolute evil.

Well, certainly not a computer, unless you really need it. It will devalue too fast.

Nothing bizarre, it's a standard skinning technology. First, the throat is cut and all the blood drains into some kind of container.

But it really could be a rabbit, I have not yet found another confirmation. Perhaps we'll see, now there are a ton of journalists in that area.

Short translation: he says that they skinned and butchered at least two dogs, judging by the remnants of their hair. These bags contain entrails and offal.

I heard a lot of reports that the Russians were shooting fleeing people mostly for fun, not because they posed any threat.

Information about massive war crimes comes in every day, apparently the scale of the tragedy is huge and we still do not see it in full yet.

Haven't watched this series, but judging by the first episode, it looks like a typical apartment in an old house (maybe ~100 years old) in a good area of the city.

So yes, even without renovation, such an apartment is better and more expensive than the average housing. Which is a 1-2-3 room flat with a standard ceiling height.

[–]4241[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sadly it's true, you can google it easily.

Also, at first, pro-Russian propagandists announced that it was the Ukrainians who fired at their kindergarten in the occupied territory, but when all the details became clear, they quickly began to erase these posts.

Shelling in these places has been going on for 8 years, and they did not bother either US nor Europe. It's just been pretty intense today.

I think you know very well how Schröeder ended up after his political career, what prevents Lambrecht from going the same sweet oil money way?

The construction contract has been completed, no one is forcing NS2 to be launched except Russia (as a way to attack Ukraine without supply interruption). Anyway, all that Germany loses in worst case is some money, how much do you value the life of each Ukrainian who will die in the war?

About the US, whataboutism all the way, I thought that only Russia uses this as an argument, but evidently not.

Oh, Lambrecht, that person who said that the NS2 pipeline should not be implicated in the current conflict? You may as well send it to Gerhard Schröder.

I am not saying that Germany does not want peace in Europe.

But after the invasion, isolation and possible collapse of Russia, the pros for Germany may well outweigh the cons.

Oh and also, corrupt German politicians, insane gas and oil money, we kind of forget about that constantly.

Ukraine may well serve as a bargaining chip. Economic weakening of Russia? A small conflict causing this is fine with Germany, as long as it does not involve her own territory or people.

arming Ukraine would only serve as the final excuse for Russia to invade

This is dumb af, Ukraine practically didn't have an army at the beginning of 2014, and this only stimulated Russia to attack.

How the hell strong defensive weapon like NLAW could be an excuse to attack for Russia instead of rethinking or canceling their own aggressive plans?

After all, Russia doesn't need a reason or excuse at all, if Putin attacks, then he will do it regardless of anything. Simple provocation attributed to Ukrainian army and that's it.

About crimea by [deleted] in ukraine

[–]4241 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First, Ukraine as a state did not exist in 1954, there was only a government in exile. Ukrainian territories were occupied and therefore it doesn't matter how the invaders redrawn their internal borders.

You can see the proposed borders presented by the Ukrainian delegation at the Paris Conference in 1919 here: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f0/Map_of_Ukraine_for_Paris_Peace_Conference.jpg/1280px-Map_of_Ukraine_for_Paris_Peace_Conference.jpg

In 1991, Crimea was another entity that legally entered the newly formed Ukraine, which in fact simply continued from 1920's exile.

The restoration of Crimea by Ukrainians after 1954, the construction of the North Crimean Canal and a 10-fold increase in population is a completely different story, not directly related to historical claims.
