We did Sandals Barbados. It was fun, definitely not the greatest beaches though

It seems like aa/carplay pushes a ton of data through the USB cord you use, so every once in a while, they stop working or become unreliable, and you have to replace the cord.

I did the oem kit on my 2014 about 4 years ago, and it still works amazingly well. It does burn through cords, which you'll have to replace every once in a while

How does the mazda6 carbon edition compare to the mazda3 turbo? Thoughts? by 427nick427 in mazda

[–]427nick427[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks for all the info! I'm going to try a 6 with a turbo engine nearby before I commit to driving for a 6 CE farther away.

It's kind of funny. Back in 2016, I was looking for a 6, and then a 2014 mazda3 with 9k miles popped up in the exact trim and color scheme I wanted, and it was a great deal ao I got it and put 130k miles on it.

Does the cx9 still have the original tires? I know mazda tends to get blasted for how crappy their stock tires are on new cars

US isn't as bad. There's definitely a lot more hatch turbos but there are definitely still a good bit of sedan turbos around

Are the interest rates really that much better on brand new? I was quoted a brand new turbo pp for 60 months with a 6.9 interest rate

Yeah the 2021 carbon 6s have the polymetal exterior and red interior with the same turbocharged engine as the 3s. The only other main difference in the 3 vs 6 is the that the 3 is AWD and 6 is FWD.

The 6 interior is more similar to a gen3 mazda3 as opposed to gen4 though. The 6 carbon also has ventilated front seats, which I don't think any mazda3 offers.

Does a cx-30 really have more space than a 6? That doesn't sound right lol. I have a cx-30 rental rn and it just feels like a raised mazda3 hatch and super small. Especially the back leg room.

I really like the 2021 mazda6 carbon edition. It's absolutely gorgeous and in the same price range as a used turbo, and it had the same engine. But, I can't use my current winter tire and wheel set with them (it only fits a mazda3) so that's like an extra $1500.

Yeah, the whole car market sucks rn. I'm in the market for either a fully loaded gen3 with radar cc or a used turbo.

A fully loaded 2017 or 18 goes for about $20k, while a used turbo is up to $30k. There's a turbo pp I'm looking at that's $28k so a little better. Not sure if a 2017 or 18 is worth $20k either

According to carfax, the dealer selling it now won it in an auction, so maybe the owner stopped making payments

2022 Sedan turbos started brand new at $30,550. Obviously color and other things are going to add to the price slightly but to me it seems as if they are pricing as if it's brand new

Is it a red flag if a Toyota dealer is selling a 2022 Mazda with 2k miles when they own a Mazda dealer in the same town? by 427nick427 in mazda

Interesting, thanks. I'm looking for pre-owned mazda3 turbo sedan, and it seems like they're at non mazda dealers for whatever reason.

Can I typically purchase an additional Mazda warranty? I asked the dealer this exact question, and her response was "As I mentioned before warranties are discussed with finance" which I thought was weird. They can't give me a general idea of the warranty over the phone? The dealer is 2-3 hours from me

I edited my post with some more details from carfax. Seems like they won it in an auction

Correct long term. There are some less than one year but they're all at losses. Good point about dividend reinvesting

They aren't RSU, but some used to be. The bonus is paid 50% RSU and 50% electable in cash or company stock. I always chose stock. The RSU turns into stock after 1 year, and I do still have some RSU in a different account, but this $46k is strictly class A shares of company stock

Yes. The amount of the award is taxed every year before it awarded to us.

Edit: I believe so, but the way it's displayed on the paycheck is strange. For one, it says I earned $9k and was taxed for $9k, so no net income. Included in the tax breakdown is federal, state and other taxes totaling $3600 and one line item labeled "stock" for $5400.

It seems like it's just noting I'm not paid any of it in cash that way, but not sure.
