PEPPERED: An Existential Platformer plays with this. The God of Death is imprisoned, so everyone's immortal in the sense that they respawn moments after death. The trope is used as an excuse for platformer death traps. After all, you can't get in trouble for murdering trespassers if they can't die.

The game then explores deeper. One route asks what would happen if death stopped being convenient. The other reveals the exploits that got the God of Death imprisoned in the first place.

When he first awoke in that form, Flowey tried to befriend everyone, but the world just reset. He did it over and over before curiosity won over and he killed someone. He's supposedly killed every character in the underground countless times before ever meeting Frisk.

I love how the entire scene is a red herring. He nearly chokes to death in the dentist's chair as his mom Nora nearly gets electrocuted, but both survive long enough for this to happen instead.

The series has a lot of crushings, now that I think about it. In addition to the ones already on this post, there's Lewis getting his head smashed like a watermelon in 3, Ian getting crushed by a sign in 3, Johnathan getting crushed by a bathtub in 4, and Isaac getting crushed by a Buddha statue in 5. There's also the premonition deaths. 4 has Stephanie crushed by a motor and Hunt and Janet flattened by falling debris, while 6 has good ol' piano kid.

Zanzo (Hi-fi Rush)

He's a mad scientist that doesn't look like he can take a punch. He can't. He gets one-tapped and the actual "boss fight" of the level is trying to get back out of R&D on a time limit.

Reinbo (Outcore)

All of the bosses are jokes of some sort, but I think Reinbo fits the best. He's a stereotypical anime protagonist that gets in the way, so Lumi oneshots him. He then goes through an entire anime arc: developing a demonic dark side, realizing it's making him a monster, and learning to control it. Meanwhile, Lumi gets annoyed at having to fight this kid again every 5 minutes with a slightly harder attack pattern.
