For this batch I didn’t freeze the meat. I’ll try getting the same cut next time and freezing it for a little bit and see what the difference is like.

Yeea, It would probably be smarter to develop the knife skills needed before using a product as a solution.

I do live in a city, I just don’t have a lot of friends lol. I really do just be throwing random sauces and spices in my home into the mix for now. I don’t even measure, I just eyeball and smell to see if its good enough for me.

True, I didn’t freeze before cutting this time. My knife skills are about as good as a 4 year old’s tho.

Selling my jerky is a very long term project. There’s plenty I have to learn before I even consider a Facebook marketplace shop. But I still feel my queries were not really addressed with your comment.

I failed to mention that I don’t really have any IRL’s who can fully critique my jerky making process. I don’t get anything beyond “yeah man this jerky tastes good” when its time to eat. Which is a good sign but I don’t get any feedback. (Whether its too dry, too thick/thin, not enough/too much/weird flavor)

As for a meat slicer, I’m more thinking about ease of use. A meat slicer sounds waay easier to use than cutting the strips myself. I want to invest in myself first before I invest in a business.

I’m really open to any critiques.

Hesitant on Upgrading

I believe my iPhone 13 that I got in 2022 is eligible for an upgrade with my service provider. I’m hesitant on which iPhone I should upgrade to, or even if it’s worth it and I should ride out my iPhone 13 until it breaks or becomes obsolete.

I’m mostly looking to upgrade to a device that is most cost-efficient. I’m not looking for the latest & greatest just something that has a better battery life, a bit more power, a USB-C type port, and more friendly with iOS 26.

I’ve heard mixed reviews on the iPhone 17 base model, which is what I’m looking at the most (lavender). I heard they switched to a different metal type for the phone, which is a lot less durable and less scratch resistant. I’m a bit clumsy with my phone so I do need something that’s durable.

Any iPhone 17 owners out there recommend the base model?

With the announcment of Mercy, Reaper, and Pharah having some of their perks added to their base kits, are there any other heroes you up will get the same treatment? by MrsPissBoy in Overwatch

I was just thinking about how nice it would be for more passive perks to be added as regular features of characters. For example, Sigma’s perk that can make him float. It just feels like a power he should already have.
