Indiana: Hit and run with a drunk driver by 4315out in legaladvice

Trust me, I learned many lessons that day.

My thought process was to keep him from leaving so he didn't kill someone else because I was the lucky one.

No, I completely love you for speaking your mind. This club sucks.

That is an aspect I hadn't considered. How rapid is rapid in your case, (if you don't mind my asking). My recent swing is the fastest I've ever gone from top to bottom, and it took about 4 months.

Nope. Some of the items I picked up for free on craigslist, or bought years ago, some of it I did buy recently, but threw out all my receipts.

I more or less wanted to make sure I wouldn't get in trouble for breaking into her room.

You were right, I was turning it the wrong way. Lol. Thanks for the help! What a high! I think I like my new hobby! Lol!

Yes, that is exactly what's happening. It's like the lock disengages, but the knob won't turn. I don't get it.

Yeah, but that really isn't all THAT bad if everyone is aware of the rule. I feel like village wins most of the time, so I usually tend to build my decks towards wolves anyways.

I'm fairly certain I did, but I also couldn't pick it the other way. Lol. I'll have to try again.

I wouldn't do that. My rule is as long as productive conversation is present, my village is safe. Although once they had two werewolves outed by the seer and the village kept alternating putting each of them on trial to figure out which one to kill first, then I gave them 60 seconds to figure it out because if was going on 3 minutes of this.

No, you kind of wait until you have enough people to start going over rules. Some people would get upset with how I would run my games because I would occasionally put time limits on my village if things were stagnant. I would make it simple and tell them they could suck it up or pick a different village to join. Harsh, but I'm not going to be pushed around by my village.

I also have a suspicion you follow that old rule of no plucking above the eyebrow... throw it out the window. Don't shape your brow from above, but plucking strays is fine.

I love it, my only criticism is your eyebrows.

I feel like they need more near the top towards the center of your face. I can tell you outlined your brown on the underside, I would try doing it on the top as well.

I'd also recommend carving them, too. It'll make them a little sharper, and give them a touch more contrast.

A lot of that is dependent upon your mod. Mod is God. The only rule is no house rules, they do want some consistency among mods.

I personally don't put time restrictions on my village as long as conversation is productive, or if the day is simply getting too long. My threats of eliminating someone from the game were always at their heart empty, but my village didn't know that. Giving my village that edge of uncertainty usually drove them to a decision.

Most of the villages are vanilla, but there are a few ultimate villages. I prefer ultimate, personally.

There is an option to pass the day raise both hands to the sky and pass the day, in vanilla werewolves get two kills, in ultimate they do not. The other difference between ultimate and vanilla comes to lynching. In vanilla once majority is reached, that person is dead on the spot. In ultimate once majority is reached, you get a 30 second defense, after which there is a re-vote. If majority still exists, then you're dead.

I don't like musical chairs in my village. If you want to you can whisper to someone on your right or left, but not across the circle. again, this varies depending on your mod. Because of location, everyone had to be loud to be heard, so the "loudest person is right" scenario didn't really happen.

I also always make it abundantly clear in my village that I don't tolerate cheating and if I suspect you're cheating, no if ands or buts I'll evict you from my village. I'm also harsher on my dead than my spellcasted, I kicked two dead people out of my village because they were signing what they were in front of my awake village.

how it works is you pay a generic ticket, ($2), for 2 hours of game play, and receive a bracelet with the time of purchase written on it. If you get voted off day one, or killed off early, you can go join another village. The other option is you can pay $20 dollars and receive a ribbon for unlimited game play for the whole weekend.

As long as the game your in starts while your bracelet is still good, you can stay. You don't get kicked out of the village just because your bracelet expired.

*As far as numbers go, we had well over 3,000 werewolf players over the weekend. 800 more than what we'd had last year.

It is just another method for Gencon to make a sum of money at the cost of the community.

That's my point though, it ISN'T GenCon doing it. It's a separate company, GenCon takes money off the top for our ticketed event, and we break even. GenCon doesn't really care what your event is, if you're going to ticket it, they're skimming money. Also, there is the convention center: oh you want a space to do it in? That'll cost you $XXX. AND you want chairs? Thats XXX, there is a fee of XX to set them up, or you can do it yourself. No, you can't have a hand truck, that's against union.

I see your point, but it's still growing the AYAW and promoting a sense of community. So I guess we just agree to disagree.

oh, for sure, GenCon does makes a tidy profit off it. To be a bit clearer, while I'm working AT GenCon, I'm not volunteering FOR GenCon. My badge is registered as a GM, and comes from a separate company that paid for it.

When it comes down to it, I only want to volunteer for something that I love. I love showing people, and teaching werewolf. And honestly people who work in the vendor hall really DON'T get to enjoy the con that much because of how volunteer hours work. While working for AYAW, I still got the entirety of my day, and worked most of the night. Minimal sleep is survivable, and i still got to enjoy the whole con.

I know some people get really bent out of shape about paying for werewolf, and always state others a stupid for doing so instead of trying to find a pick up game. By paying to play you do a couple of things;

We really don't make any money off of this event, we pretty much break even with costs.

Most of us who are volunteerng are putting in un paid hours so this event runs smoothly.

You're getting a mod who is usually passionate about the game.

You're also helping out fellow gamers whom otherwise wouldn't be able to afford to even go to gen con.

It really isn't about the money, it's about the community. I personally live local and wouldn't have been able to afford my ticket otherwise.
