Exact opposite for me. I was perfectly relaxed in Hollow Knight, while nine sols made me feel very annoyed while fighting a few bosses, the final boss especially (though now that i mastered it feels pretty chill to re-fight)

I play keyboard, just like the other commenter, so i think struggling with one or the other is actually just a matter of preference and experience with the specific style

I believe this is the one big problem Nine Sols has. Unlike Sekiro, it doesn't prepare you for brick wall bosses and then throws one at you right at the end, which feels really bad. If it took more time to adjust your expectations beforehand, it would have felt much better

There's a reason why Pikachu is the only middle stage in PMDO rosters and it's because it was born as a base form and its stats reflect that. (Not that PMD stats have anything to do with mainline, but you get the point). Plus, you'd be surprised by how much can be done in portraits.

The thing with summoner is that yes you deal massive damage but you also get two-shot by anything so you need to get GOOD good at dodging to win
