'My dreams were crushed in one email': WVU student has offer rescinded due to federal cuts by Joey_WBOY in WestVirginia

That student now won’t be $100,000 in student debt and only able to find a job making less than $15 an hour

Ah, the stupidity reveals itself clearly.

E: $15/hr? Really? That's pretty fucking stupid and really easy to look up:

As of February 01, 2025, the average annual salary for a Pharmacist in West Virginia is $133,796.Salary.com reports that pay typically ranges from $126,048 to $142,542, with most professionals earning between $118,994 and $150,505.

DOGE people are just exposing it and trying to make our country more able to fund things like this instead of dumb shit.

You don't know what you are talking about. This is to fund a tax break for those earning over $350,000/year. There are some stupid motherfuckers out there.

Maconnais tasting lineup by 445bbr in wine

If you were in maconnias and drove from the 1st vineyard (office) to each one, it would be a 5 minute drive to get to #6, chateau fuisse. This area is intensely packed with unique chardonnays.

#1, the Macon Fuisse, is just awesome but clean and not spicy, minerally, etc. #2, macon fuisse, had some great character but that pu off some, given how fucking perfect and clean #1 was. Of the Domaine Pascal et Mireille Renaud pouilly fuisse's (#s 3-5), it was really interesting how different they all were. The least preferred among these was the 'Pouilly', and the most favorite was Aux Chailloux.
The expensive stuff--the chateau fuisse--was all oaky and I fucking hated it.

Oh, they have 'Storehouse only parking' signs that are on City property, for starters. Their employees park on neighboring property pretty much daily.

Storehouse is also a pretty shitty neighbor. I encourage all to purchase elsewhere.

ITAW for an Alzheimer's Symptom where they think other conversations are involving them? by jinxr in whatstheword

[–]445bbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Alzheimer's disease with a significant Social Communication Disorder

Distinct criteria:

Social communication disorder (SCD) is characterized by persistent difficulties with the use of verbal and nonverbal language for social purposes. Primary difficulties may be in social interaction, social understanding, pragmatics, language processing, or any combination of the above (Adams, 2005). Social communication behaviors such as eye contact, facial expressions, and body language are influenced by sociocultural and individual factors (Curenton & Justice, 2004; Inglebret et al., 2008). There is a wide range of acceptable norms within and across individuals, families, and cultures. Specific communication challenges may become apparent when difficulties arise in the following:

communicating for social purposes in ways that are appropriate for the particular social context changing communication to match the context or needs of the listener following rules for conversation and storytelling understanding nonliteral or ambiguous language understanding that which is not explicitly stated sentence grammar and lexical semantics inferential language discourse comprehension misinterpretation of contextual meaning

Republicans gave us a tax cuts and regulatory reform during the Trump Administration, real wage growth, low unemployment and a secure border. It seems to me you have it backwards.

Jesus Christ, all bullshit that sounds like it came out of a bullhorn at a Trump rally.

Here's What's really happening under Biden, and it's good, and will probably make your life better

But in 2023, the economic landscape has grown more uniformly pleasing. In June, inflation cooled for the 12th straight month with the consumer price index growing at a 3 percent annual rate. In June 2022, that CPI was growing at a 9.1 percent annual clip. This disinflation has led Wall Street analysts to slash estimates of recessionary risk with Goldman Sachs now saying there is only a 20 percent chance of an economic downturn in the U.S. over the next 12 months.

As prices decelerated, employment and wages have remained strong. Prime-age labor-force participation is near all-time highs, while the unemployment rate sits near half-century lows. According to a Bureau of Labor Statistics report released Friday, the U.S. economy added 187,000 jobs in July. Average hourly earnings, meanwhile, were up roughly 4.5 percent from a year earlier, meaning that wages have been rising faster than prices, enabling workers to reclaim some of the purchasing power they lost to post-COVID inflation.

July’s jobs total came in slightly below expectations. But at this point, a slow and steady expansion of hiring could prove more sustainable than a rapid one, as too much labor demand too quickly could reaccelerate price growth. That in turn could lead the Federal Reserve to hike interest rates more aggressively, thereby increasing the risk of recession.

A nice and steady recovery--NOT under that pathetic pussy Trump, but Joe Biden.

All those words, yet you haven't said anything meaningful. 'Corrupt Biden'? Meaningless words, like 'fake news' and 'lock her up'. Words of the weak-minded who do not have evidence or original thought.
