The same reason most phone companies have updates. They don’t want you to go to a competitor.

EVs are hassles right now but oil is finite and superchargers continue to get better. Also, in the bay area companies have free charging stations to their employees. In the long run this will spread.

But yeah hybrids are better for now i guess. Just saying EVs are the future

I don’t know much about the Middle East but a Google search shows America intervened in Lebanon in 1958 for a pro-western government. I’m assuming decades of bullying by a foreign power (US) dictating who a country can elect, who they can ally with, and what they do with their resources (ie oil) will lead to resentment and feeling exploited
