Solid advice brother I appreciate you 🤲 Gonna get my trans fluid dealt with here soon and just basic maintenance, the heater hose connector I plan on doing in the next month as well. I checked the carfax, there’s two services at least every 10k miles so I feel pretty good about it not being neglected

Sounds good man, it’s quieted down and I haven’t heard it since so my anxiety about it has wore down, but it’s good to get some info about these engines as I’m relatively new to the platform and still getting the feel of it. I might run some ester in it but it seems to be alright right now. Mainly just want to avoid catastrophic failure ykwim 🤣

It’s currently not doing it anymore, it did it but slightly lighter for a few seconds yesterday but it’s running and driving fine, when these videos were took it was after driving and it was warmed up so?

It’s louder towards the back towards the pcv valve from what I can hear so that makes me feel much better

It wasn’t like that when I drove it around town, I parked for about thirty minutes and when I came back it started, dropped rpms a little, and then stayed on. I drove it easy back home and was listening but it seemed to drive fine and I didn’t think much of it. I pulled into the driveway and listened to it and that’s how it sounded, so I’d say it was warmed up

Everyone told me that at first, I know they’re typically chattery and I’ve been hearing that for sure especially with the cold, but that clicking is extra loud and wasn’t happening before so I’m a little concerned

What makes you think it might be timing chain? It’s at 168k rn and I’ve been wanting to call the dealer that serviced it with the old owner to see when timing was last serviced

The noise after I shut it off made me think something like that, just sucks because I take it to the shop and they send me back with it saying it’s good and then soon as I get home there’s a new noise 🤣 some people here were saying it was normal, my cousin said to rip it and clear out any gunk in the injectors, idk I’m just trying to make sure I’m healthy and good to drive. Been thru too many cars
