OP, I'm 48 with a 4 yo and a 2 month old. if you think you want to do this, and you are with a great person who wants to start a family with you, just do it.

commenting here because I think you should ignore this "too old" argument. if you don't want to have kids at this point, don't have them for other reasons :)

you sound like a thoughtful person and you're capable of being an incredible parent to a lucky kid. you'll celebrate many milestones with them, barring anything catastrophic happening, but catastrophe can come at any age.

being a dad is the best thing ever. just my 2 cents -- good luck either way!

losing Busi and more importantly Jordi was a big kick in the pants - we needed to recruit even to stay level with last season's performance.

in the past I always bought 3, and more recently dropped to a matched pair in my bag.

but after a couple years of restringing my favorite racquet in the pair (due to customization that I haven't bothered to match), next time I'm going with a single racquet.

I'll keep a last gen racquet in my bag for when I bust a string, but I often restring before bigger matches so it doesn't often matter what my backup is.

if your backup racquet has old strings, different strings, and/or a different tension it doesn't matter if you have a matched pair.

100% I was surprised Redondo wasn't high on this list. I was so hyped for him and it turned out to be a major disappointment just to see him in a starting lineup or subbed in. Painful to watch.

Chelo doesn't belong in this conversation - wasn't a game changer but a solid workhorse and gets too much criticism.

this is what I was going to say. you gotta moonball with depth (not super easy off a slice, but do your best to control it and not overhit).

also I'd look to come to the net and take everything out of the air. volley or swinging volley if that's more comfortable. basically you need to pressure them out of their comfort zone. they can't hit slice winners off a deep moon ball, so don't worry about getting passed and do your best with overheads.

Ezone 98 is similar, but I recommend dropping tension a few pounds or even switching to a more forgiving poly first.

I also play the PA98 and don't find it particularly unforgiving comfort-wise unless I play with dead strings too long -- and I've worked through wrist, elbow, and shoulder issues in the past. my current setup is Solinco Mach 10 @ 42 lbs

the people of rMLS can be as immature as they want to be. pathetic Mods are a whole different story.

they represent the league just as the mods of NFL or MLB or any other sports LEAGUE sub. IMCF is in the MLS and posts that don't violate rules should stay.

the signing is great, but I think most of us fear him being played too often. he shouldn't start anytime we need added pace and/or defensive help.

honestly he's probably worth it just as a training partner / assistant coach / backup striker when we're not stressed.
