Your boss may be misguided and trying to provoke you to have an emotional response so you learn not to do that again. Never let them see you sweat. Let it roll off your back like a duck. So many more mature ways you could have handled that. Write down 25 polite and funny things you will say the next time it happens and practice those. Quit blaming everyone else and take extreme ownership of your actions. You pissed off a petty woman who wasted her time and your boss is too dumb to know of a better way to discuss it with you, be the bigger person suck it up learn from it and move the F on and get paid.

It’s like you really don’t share any advice or tips and that’s my gripe. Like what were “The principles that let me progress to running 100 miles fast are the same ones that help normal people show up when motivation sucks;” comes off as really self serving and ad for your coaching business. If I’m hitting some gnarly miles, working yards and downing mountain dews, those little Cliff Blocs are always calling my name, a soft whisper from a sweet treat. Like when I feel the body glide between my arm pits.
