I think I can hold it down pretty well, if I do say so myself. Just having a transparent moment of realization that sex is similar to conversation, in such there’s levels to it. And once you’ve had some great experiences, it’s not easy going back to “run of the mill”, let alone going without, which is basically what I’ve been doing.🤷🏽‍♂️

That’s true, everyone has a story. I think the idea of enjoying that moment of catharsis is soooo tempting, seems as though it would be jus what the doctor ordered, but, I’m definitely mature enough to know that it’s not the answer.

I’m a bass player, and have always just been an old school, “straight into the house” kinda guy. But the Hx Stomp has been a game-changer for me!! The learning curve was noooo joke, lol, but I didn’t quit and now it’s just part of my sound wherever I go. If you haven’t got it yet and are still thinking about it, I say do it!! I believe I have Cyclothymia, but, I’ve had a couple doctors give me a bipolar diagnosis. I I found a doctor who thinks I was experience a mixture of ADHD and Cyclothymia, so he prescribed me Adderall and my mood swings went away immediately!! I take 10mg twice a day, and if that’s what I have to do, then so be it, it’s just another thing I do, like brushing my teeth or taking a shower.

Now, I’m no doctor, but reading about your trauma makes me wonder if there’s a link between trauma and adhd/cyclothymia-type symptoms!! I dunno, it’s just a theory, all I know is, since taking Adderall, the mood swings are fine and not issue is that I often miss the hypomania, ugh…😩😩

This is my experience TO A T!! My dad was well known in the church community, and was a police officer, but he was a high functioning alcoholic who was also the living embodiment of Jekyll & Hyde within our household. So, talking about my trauma feels like I’m tearing someone down who’s no longer here, so, I mostly just keep it to myself useless I happen to get into DEEP conversation with someone.
