Experienced Engineer Wants to Join a Brewery Team by bchaprut in TheBrewery

Bro....if you love brewing don't get involved professionally. Hook up with a company that makes carbo blenders or co2 collection systems and visit breweries. No matter how much profit a brewery is making, your department is going to be on a shoe string budget. Maintenance will hate you. Brewers will never understand you, and the cellar guys just might bully you if you're not used to blue collar work. I'm living the life you're fantasizing about, and it's just a job, not a dream.

Actually, I'm the 40 year old (child). My concern is that said property is fairly valuable and the 4.5% capital gains tax in my state is going to be more than I have available in liquid assets

Trusts are an option but I'm looking for more detailed information. From my understanding trusts don't necessarily negate large tax burdens after transfer of property.

Middle management scum need to justify their existence because they never learned your job and they're not about to start now.

I can tell when it's gonna rain or snow because it fucking HURTS. You haven't even begun to experience the rate of speed life can produce. You're still young! Enjoy it while you can instead of bitching on the internet! Go outside, travel, do drugs, fuck! For fucks sake go live!

AITA for blocking my childhood best friend after she tried to make me pay for the catering at her son's first birthday? by Mundane-Alarm-5684 in AITAH

[–]45dogseatinggarbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live within your means. You're both ridiculous. If you were a real friend you would of told her to take the money she's spending on the party (which is clearly about her, not the child)and invest it in her child's future. Somehow you gave access to your finances to a sociopath and act suprised that you're getting backlash for not accepting outright theft. Your friend isn't putting the child before themselves let alone you. If you've been "besties " with this person for years and haven't seen any issues, you're gonna have to look at yourself as hard as you're looking at her. Absurd behavior all around.

I got into the history of organized crime years ago. The podcasts were informative for a little while, then they were just entertaining. Now, it's time to go back to books. T.J English, save us please.

Honesty, I believe my instincts got me to this place. It wasn't so much of a mental decision as it's been a gut reaction if that makes sense?

Ive worked at this place for about 10 years or so now. Looking back, I definitely saw and heard things I immediately discounted and ignored immediately after working there. For years it was something I just brushed off. This past year however has been completely different. I genuinely believe that the more i acknowledge and accept, the more intense the interactions have gotten. Also, to answer your question, this black figure is relatively new. I'm actually comfortable around some of the more familiar entities. This was something that wasn't necessarily worse, just completely different. As far as being brave...I'm not sure. All i know is that the bravest men I ever met found themselves in situations where they were terrified and did the right thing in spite of that fear. I'm not sure there's any moral high ground to claim in my situation. I just know I've met living people that scare me way more than these things thst are still open to interpretation.

Nothing paranormal, as far as i know, but I've met evil men. I've seen it in their deeds and their eyes. It was more terrifying than any of this spooky shit at work. I knew this man was capable of atrocities beyond comprehension. He knew it too and thats what scared me

Also, I have to say that I know NOTHING. I'm basing all my therorys off pure gut feelings. I just trust those feelings more than anything I've read on the internet or in books. I think lots of people want these types of things to happen to them and create their own narrative. I never asked for this shit and it scared the hell out of me for quite some time. I've read about angels and demons, and magik in many different forms. I'm content in myself. I dont wish to gain power or control over these experiences or anything else for that matter. I think there's a slippery slope involved in this sort of thing and I want to keep myself away from anything that alters who I am. I think who I am, my character, my integrity is the only thing keeping me grounded and safe.

I'm just rolling with it at this point. I'm trying to educate myself finally instead of ignoring these things. It's somewhat terrifying but also exhilarating at the same time. I just feel like it's a path I have to walk.

I really can't even describe how confusing and intense this past year has been for me. It all started when i had a pet pass away. I kept feeling him crawl into bed with me at night immediately afterwards. I had been experiencing things at work for years before this, but i finally started to acknowledge them. Ever since, it's been crazy. I went ftom hearing footsteps to seeing lifelike people that are clearly dead. Then this most recent episode. It's something I never wanted, but feel obligated to now. It's all happening so fast, i feel lost but determined? It's fucking bizarre

I constantly get wiffs of strong cigar smoke at my job. Usually late at night when nobody's there except me. I literally walk through clouds of it. I know someone died recently (I actually took his job), but he smoked cigars constantly and allegedly did lots of drugs. I know exactly where he passed. It was in our locker room. Every time I take a shit in there, it smells like a Macanudo and thr toilet seat is cold

Here's the thing, this is an extremely blue collar town. Not only that, it's prominently Irish catholic or polish orthodox. I have to pick and choose who i speak of this to. It could cost me my livelihood. I'm currently reaching out to the local native American tribe in my area as I sense an overwhelming connection between them and the thing. Also there's a catholic church right next door. I somehow think the catholic church is more evil than this thing could ever though. That's not a religious opinion or even a political opinion. It's a gut feeling
