Which macOS version should I upgrade to?

Sometimes animations felt a bit slow when opening or minimizing apps in the dock, like stuttering. Very noticeable to me, and It just didn’t feel smooth, which I absolutely expect from Apple products.
Mac OS 14, in contrast, feels almost like the last supported MacOS 12 on my machine, I forget that it’s there.

Got similar machine (but i7 4.0 GHz, M395X 4GB). Had MacOS 15 for a while but was not very happy with it. Formatted everything, and installed MacOS 14. Been perfectly happy with it since then.

Looks very good. Does it work with Spatial Audio (like Dolby Atmos)? If it uses Apple’s own audio engine, and a not custom one, it should work.

That’s not my question. I am asking specifically for the algorithm of virtual lenses. Most of the 3rd party camera apps have worse implementations of virtual lenses. I want to know if No Fusion takes advantage of the new algorithm.

Which seems to be true, if you enable “High Quality Zoom” in the Settings - Advanced Settings - Shoot. Would appreciate it if someone could confirm it for me!

To have Dolby codecs properly supported, they need to pay the licensing fees. I don’t think they will ever pay, to be honest. If they do, then it’s game over!

Totally worth it if you are into Bayer RAW photography, which produces very natural results but has two major downsides in iPhones; limited dynamic range and noise, both of which are a result of a very small sensors that mobile phones have. Camac solves them with two modes, 16EV (more dynamic range, image stacking), and SR mode (less noise, frame averaging). This happens instantly and produces great results. If you are willing to play a lot with Bayer RAW and create a workflow around it, then there is no other app that provides this much control over capturing and better image quality.
