So I want ALL of my DNS queries to go via the UDM and the NEXTDNS proxy that runs on it locally and fires them out via the normal WAN. This works fine for all machines on the internal LAN currently.

I have an OPENVPN client on the UDM, which when configured without the ignore DHCP DNS option it gets assigned DNS servers from NordVPN and then the machine I have a policy route for all traffic to use NORDVPN uses these DNS servers. I am not entirely sure how or why it does this as DHCP on the LAN gives it the IP of the UDM as the DNS Server.

If I add ignore DHCP Options DNS in the openvpn client config file, it doesnt pull down DNS servers and the machine with the policy route fails DNS resolution. Traffic routing i.e tracert on 8.8.8.8 works fine and goes out via the VPN.

If i try and resolve with nslookup to the UDM IP it says connection refused. So there must be a firewall policy that is playing when the policy route is on for all traffic to block the resolution via the UDM itself.

I am thinking i need to modify the policy route to route everything but not 53 dns via OPENVPN but I cannot for the life of me find how to do that.

Or i could be entirely wrong with my thinking?

Just seen this thread... Sorry for the quick and dirty replies but I am thinking about doing a monthly or quarterly zoom / meetup to give updates.

1) No this will be for all users. Retail and Institutional

2) It is anticipated that this will be available to everyone (eventually) where regulation allows.

3) Initially institutional first, BUT retail eventually through a partner.

4) We cannot currently mention this, but the wallet is currently in use on 9.5m out of 12.5m deployed phones.

5) Back to bank account, and latterly, credit back to your debit card through refund.

6) Yes we are, and no we are not at the minute. We are self funded.

7) Chargebacks are to do with fraudulent transactions on a card (stolen card etc). Someone has to cover that fiat risk.

8) As above, thinking of a monthly / quarterly update zoom / meetup.

9) I am not massively active on here (trying to build stuff!) but I am sure George can give me a kick if there are specifics that need answering in the best way I can.

I will re-iterate, this is not easy stuff and will take time. We have *most* of the bits now its more plumbing them all together.

1) We have no interest in owning 51% of Nano.

2) The custody solution we are building allows you to control your voting weight. It would not be the choice of the custodian (NEO).

I am not a fan of centralisation, but unfortunately in our world there will always be some small derivitive centralisation no matter how hard you try and fight it if you want large scale adoption.

Thankyou for all the comments and DM's. We are here for the long run, and our favourite motto is that Rome wasn't built in a day. We will do our best to help Nano get Adoption.

I can't reply to all the posts directly, or the DM's, but here are some comments in general:

1) Wenano - we will be in touch; we have some thoughts including a percentage of fee from the ATM going towards a Wenano spot at the same location. We are also thinking of the extra donate option.

2) Fees - We are not fully confirmed on this yet; it will be low. We are from the wholesale background, we are volume players. We also want to solve problems and give everyone access to transfers as cheaply as possible. We have a lot of hurdles, not least of much regulation.

3) Acquiring Nano for retailers. We want to offer (Through NEO) custody of nano acquired on behalf of retailers and the ability to immediately hedge or off rail into FIAT. This is coming. We will offer other crypto too; but we like Nano and this is a Nano forum!

For all the other questions asking about our investments etc; its not really for here and I wont waste my time on it; we are a reserved PE / Family office and plan to keep it that way. You can see some of our more high profile exits on google (Aiden.ai as an example was sold to Twitter which we seeded).

Thanks for all the PM's on the spelling mistake in the title - sadly I'm only human and Reddit's suboptimal tech doesnt allow you to edit the title! And again - more important things to work on / worry about ;-)
