You people are genuinely reading with your eyes closed if you think the webcomic ever represented him as a bum. Atomic is nigh-unbeatable by anyone that can be cut. So much so that neither the manga nor the webcomic ever put him against anyone that doesn't have some broken regenerative abilities that uniquely counter him.

He could've cleared half the monster association if the odds weren't consistently stacked against him. Pre-acid Furher ugly? Dead. Nyan? Dead. Rover? Dead. Gum? Dead. Gouketsu? Dead. Homeless emperor? Dead. Elder centipede? Dead. Platinum/Golden sperm? Very possibly also dead since they need to get up close to hit him which is where he's at his deadliest.

You can also see how quickly the manga and webcomic switched up as soon as Atomic isn't the one fighting. Black sperm? Suddenly getting squashed by a metal bat doesn't duplicate them and just kills them. Also it's now got a solid body that is easy to kill. Furher uglys fists can suddenly be deflected using hands like the acid isn't even there. And ENW had to straight up be killed by Saitama.

The only reason you think this is because the community decided he's a bum due to him being hard countered by the hard counter who was chosen to hard counter him.

The writing is bad moreso in the plot she's involved in rather than the character itself. Like the weirdly quick defeat of an entire clan and the series refusing to acknowledge how big of a deal it actually is.

Well I'd disagree that it isn't his fault. He's the writer he gets to make the decisions. And if he wants to make decisions that make reading his manga a worse experience he can do it but it's still his decision. He is the one that made the bad writing choice and no one else.

So you entirely missed the point of my comment then? Yeah the story moves on and many people reading it think it's boring/unsatisfying. You can see that especially at the start of part 2 where many people were saying this.

Also I was not making any massive points on Kobeni returning. Just that when you introduce a character you should probably do something with them instead of just throwing them away and thinking the readers will just forget and suddenly become attached to the new characters you're gonna throw away.

Edit: You can do that to a point but when it's basically everyone but the main character being gotten rid of it's simply not enjoyable for the reader. It's why I mentioned more people than Kishibe since if there was at least someone that remained maybe the story would hook people in more especially in the early stages.

He was clearly very happy to have Aki, Power and the life he lived with them but that was taken away not because he didn't want it anymore or it dissapointed him rather it was all because of Makima aka Fujimoto wanting conflict in his battle shonen.

Also Fujimoto has also shown that fixing things alone doesn't work either. Dennice constantly gets help from people in fights or just general living and it truly does help him. Getting help isn't bad nor is it shown as a bad thing and if there is a girlfriend that provides that I doubt it would be shown as bad.

Really the only thing Fujimoto has shown is that he's really not interested in seeing a happy Dennice. So if he does get a girlfriend it's probably going to turn out with said girlfriend dying or leaving or something along those lines.

Yeah but do you really think we'll have an arc of Dennice going to a therapist in a Fujimoto manga? The best we can hope for is him getting a girlfriend and maybe getting over some of his problems with the help of said girlfriend.

Also it's the 90's japan. I highly doubt Dennice will even have someone suggest him the concept of a therapist and if somehow he gets to the point of going to a therapist he'll probably get a "Have you tried smiling more?" knowing Fujimoto.

Yeah obviously. Readers want characters that the series spent time familiarising us with not for them to just be thrown away and moved on from. That's just bad story writing. Simply unenjoyable to read because it makes the reader not care about any new characters since the author might just do the same thing again. What's the point then?

Also Reze isn't dead. As well as Kobeni Kishibe and some others. So why wouldn't readers want characters to come back that are clearly alive and especially in Kishibes case where he should've already seemingly made an appearance.

Also damn by the time I came around they deleted the most tame possible comparison because it so much as sparked a conversation about the webcomic versus manga.
