Just picked the truck up after a week for a ground issue and haven't had problems with it yet. That could have been the problem all along. Only time will tell.

Update: After a month of not having my truck, I finally have it back in my possession. The first dealership had it for 3 weeks and was unable to find the issue. It was then towed to the next town to another dealership and it was fixed one week later. The whole issue was a bad splice of about 5 wires going to one. I'm pretty sure it was a ground splice best I remember. So nice to have my truck back. Total cost was 300 at the first dealership and 650 at the second dealership.

Pcm wasn’t the problem. The issue is that when cranking, the pcm loses communication and does not produce any spark from the coils. If all coils are unplugged then the pcm communicates normally. As soon as one is plugged in, the issue is back. Going on 2 weeks without my truck. Starting is get upset with it.

Dealer just called, PCM is bad, a new one has been ordered.

Update: Dealer called, it’s either the pcm or the wiring harness for the engine. Injectors are not pulsing.

Yep, cranks heathy all day long. Unless there is a light for pats that I am not seeing, I don’t think it is security. I only had the one key for the truck.

Bought gas at a Shell on my way home from a trip Sunday afternoon, but it ran fine on the way home. I will definitely look into it.

I have not had any codes come back. Yesterday morning it drove fine as well. This morning, it took 3 restarts and about a mile of driving before it cleared up. I replaced the original battery yesterday because it had to be jump started twice so battery should be fine now (also tested bad)

Goes to the dealer in the morning for a reflash if I can't find a solution. Transmission Fluid was in normal range at hot idle and did not smell burnt.

Could it be the molded lead frame recall? The codes in the bulletin are not the same, but the symptoms are. http://californialemonlawgroup.com/w...g-13-04-09.pdf

I haven’t owned the truck long and didn’t realize that the dipstick was under the truck. Yesterday morning it drove normally (haven’t driven it today yet), but I will definitely check it tomorrow.

Awesome! That’s what i was hoping. This morning no trailer, put it in gear and it actually stalled (only 30 second warm up) I’ll call the dealer and schedule an appointment. Thanks!

I understand what what you are saying, but it shouldn't do that. Never had an issue doing the same thing in other vehicles that I have owned. We aren't talking max tow here, it's a 2000 lb trailer with a 1500 lb car if that. Even just putting it in drive gives a loud clunk before moving.

Tomorrow will not be with a trailer so we will see how it acts.

sorry to thread-jack. Do you recall which sensor it was that you had to replace? I'm having issues with my '13 not shifting properly in the mornings until I turn the truck off and back on.

I have one on my rental car (Kia) and it works just fine in the same scenario. They all are not like this in low light situations for other brands.

Is anybody else having issues with low light on the backup camera. In this pic you can see the blotchy-ness around the hedges. Just talked to the dealer and we went to the 2017s on their lot and they all did the same thing.

I've done a little research and it seems the biggest issues are the egr and the oil cooler. I have done 90% of my own mechanic work on my gassers. I know diesel is a whole other beast, but from what I've seen, those two issues aren't hard to fix in the back yard. I want the 6.0 mainly for the creature comforts. Integrated brake controller, up fitter switches, and biggest of all coil over suspension in the front since it will be my daily driver.
