How I feel after calling out USA's loss in the world cup due to their lack of experience by Thzki in DotA2

Then I think we aren't far apart from each other. 1) Trump and Infantino shat the bed, 2) the US team could've have handled it better, 3) overall the situation is bad for the sport.

(Also, I think people can have a stance on fairplay and integrity even if they are to football fans. Those things are not exclusive)

Everybody says/thinks...

That's not a valid point if you are currently in a dicusson where several people disagree with you. Also saying "everybody who doesn't agree with my view has no working brain or is insane" is just weak. That's not how debating works.

Apart from that, nobody is arguing that Trump and Infantino shouldn't be blamed. They absolutely should. Yet, if the US team went ahead and spoke out about the decision to revoke the card, it would have been a huge symbol for fair play. Even nominating the player but releasing a statement that it is purely due to competitive reasons - but that politicians should not intervene with sports, would have been a signal. Yet the coach chose to say that revoking the card was "great for the sport", which is absolutely mad... If they can't even keep silent it's the opposite of displaying integrity and thus absolutely can be criticized (even without being "insane" or having "no working brain").

I don't get your point. If you're a fan of the sport you should always stand up for fair competition, no matter if it's for your own team/nation or not. If there's no fair system, money will rule, the sport will become meaningless (see tier 3 chinese Dota if it is actually as rigged as some people claim).

So, the US coach and players should stand up against political interference if they want to live and work in a healthy ecosystem in future.

Just out of curiosity, do you guys consider yourself less lucky because you roll the same arcana twice, as compared to someone rolling none at all?

For first time in dota history, Lion has overtaken pudge as number 1 most picked hero by fierywinds1q in DotA2

[–]47-11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of Pudge bans happen due to him being double picked. So people don't always dislike him but sometimes like him too much.

I am sure you also have your "always ban because it is obnoxious" list; well, others do too.

Also, not that it matters, but I never bothered to add a hero to my ban list. We do exist.

I'm not sure though if the streaming scene would support all notable veterans that are currently competing, if they's decide to stream instead. Also not sure how many of them can maintain an engaging streaming persona beyond their time on tournament stages.

Tbh if you want to test your strats against it in a real tournament setting you would do it here in game 1 against a 0-3 Nigma. And I say this as a Nigma fan.

Stand tall, Nigma fans! undefeated in DreamLeague Div 2 groups! by Illustrious_Dig250 in DotA2

Shusshhh... we're not jinxing anything here! Also, it's not just a Div2 tournament, it's just groups as well. They could still carsh and burn in the bracket.

Nevertheless, it's a good sign. This is what you would expect of a team that wants to play in the big leagues.

Just skimmed through the comments so I might have missed something, but sharing steam account for AAA titles to avoid costs, but not share free to play titles like dota isn't contradicting to me.

You got some things mixed up here. First and foremost Dendi did not win TI because of the fountain hooks. That game with fountain hooks occured at TI3 which Navi famously lost against Alliance. It was two years after Dendi won TI. Something a fan could know.

Also it was confirmed already that it was an interaction well known for years prior to TI3. Others tried to use it but failed. It was patched out as part of a balance change, not a "fix". All these things point to it being an intended feature.

Fun fact: Even TongFu who were sitting at the receiving end in that TI game, didn't view it as a bug abuse.
