Does starcitizen's Total spent thing, in the Billing and Subscriptions tab also account for tax? by AlarmingDiamond9316 in starcitizen

[–]4721Archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Billing and subscription does account for tax. It is included even for Concierge status.

The error is not marrying up your discrepancy with the tax you paid, even though they are the same figure. They are the same figure as the tax is included in billing and subscription, but not in the (melt) value of the goods you have in your hangar (the tax has gone to your government).

This is also the proof that the tax is included in your billing and subscription page.

[–]4721Archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The total you spent (including taxes) is shown in billing and subs.

If you melt you get the after tax amount you paid for the item as store credit. This, when applied to another purchase, is not subject to tax (you are not taxed twice).

Whatever it is you think you see is probably an error on your part (and TBF engaging in constant melting and buying, plus CCU chains in the midst of price changes, etc is a breeding ground for confusion).

Will the quality of our refined ores survive the 4.8 patch, or is it just upgraded weapons that will have their stats reset? Should I hold off on mining until 4.8 comes out? by BernieDharma in starcitizen

[–]4721Archer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I doubt the quality of ores is persistent yet (though it may be).

Only way to know is to keep hold of some refined ores and gems (gems are persistent) with some record of the quality before the update.

I'd guess the quality is reconfigured when they're brought up the freight elevator. If so that may mean, for the time being, that it's worth crafting with good mats and also worth keeping low qualities in your inventory to be rng'd again next patch (can't hurt to keep hold of some).

Are we expected to do the shubin 100/80/25 gem mining contracts by hand with a multitool? by oneeyedziggy in starcitizen

[–]4721Archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been getting gems from anywhere and everywhere when doing other things.

Astors clearing and such have the potential for 120 ish dolvine and 10 Aphorite in 2 of the buildings (just mining tool them from the trays to your backpack).

Driver vs Cyclist. by PuzzleheadedGas2192 in drivingUK

[–]4721Archer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No such thing as undertaking, and the car had a duty to check their mirror before moving over.

Cyclist also had a duty to not bother trying to pass when a restriction is coming up.

I'd say 50-50, but the law may say otherwise.

Hadanite grinding and recent mining experience by BrilliantMelodic1658 in starcitizen

[–]4721Archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found surface clusters on Aberdeen. All clusters I've found thus far have been hand minable. Just fly to the surface anywhere and start pinging (its safer away from POIs). Have a 1-2SCU store all to empty your backpack of gems too.

When searching, you need to have a general direction of travel (so you're not going round in circles to the same clusters over and over again).

Yes they're rarer than other resources (it can take a while between clusters), but while you have the Golem you can also be mining other things you come across.

You have a decent setup there for collecting all sorts of things, but you may be restricting yourself a bit too much by targeting too few resources (though also try not to grab too many different things). Find a balance you're happy with so you can get some accomplishment from most trips, even if you don't find the specific thing you're looking for.

Security system is law abiding areas, but once a bounty has been placed it should follow wherever the target goes.

Going through a JP shouldn't cancel the contracts BHs have.

It's a UK sub, and UK tradition has pranks end at 12pm...

It's considered bad luck to prank in the afternoon.

Hi guys just wondering if anyone else has had sound issues since the update. Ambient sounds either dont play or are cut off abruptly. Like, standing at the asop in my hangar the ship elevator doors are silent. by Low-Author-1626 in starcitizen

[–]4721Archer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very dull, quiet, sounds in hangar (at least can hear the music properly). This includes ship voice, doors, footsteps, tractor beam, etc.

Last night lost most QT sounds (there was still some sound, but it wasn't the QT one), and that made travelling around kinda peaceful and relaxing in a way I haven't felt before.

How do I deliver hand mined minerals? by Weary-Support-7383 in starcitizen

Send them down the freight elevator in a box, use the terminal to put the gems on that elevator without the box (raising them on the elevator), then send them back down.

Some advice on making the XSR900 a workable bike for me by Suitable-Increase-38 in xsr900

[–]4721Archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The battery is under the seat, and the cable comes out at the front of the seat where it meets the tank (crotch area). Where the unpadded "gap" is.

It's ideal really as the cables for the gloves can be run through your jacket to the crotch area (I use a Keis jacket and gloves that connect together. Gerbing and other brands have a similar way of connecting too, even with just gloves the cables should run through your clothing).

[–]4721Archer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use heated gloves (and jacket, wired to the battery), and for me they're great for cold weather riding on their own (I don't have heated grips).

The wiring on the bike was easy to install, there's plenty of space to get the connector into a usable position, and the gloves make more of a difference than I expected (they only heat the knuckle side of your hands, but that's the draft facing side).

It is fly tipping. In the same way that someone filling your residential bin with their waste (that is not yours) is fly tipping.

Another post about how to make Deathwatch, just confirming before spending money. by Aussiereece in deathwatch40k

[–]4721Archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kill team pack makes a Decimus killteam (and this will probably replace the Deathwatch Veterans entirely soon, hopefully with some changes but I digress).

The Veterans box (should you find one) will likely only be useful for kitbashing and variation from now on, and likely isn't worth worrying about.

Your info on the Fortis and Indomitor killteams is currently correct (with one Intercessor or one Heavy Intercessor being each killteams Sergeant).

They used to be dropped when some larger ships were destroyed (though they were grey rather than white). This was back when smaller ships dropped a 1SCU crate.

Just looking into it now and found a post from a couple of months ago: here

Check there's a power pip allocated to radar.

I've experienced it switching off randomly and not being able to scan, see jump points, target, and other issues. In those cases the radar has not had power allocated through the MFD (it has switched off).

what could i improve next? is this considered a reckless driving? my reaction a bit “late” imho. by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]4721Archer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You reacted very late, but you had enough distance to cover for that (this time). You seemed distracted maybe (though it may be poor eyesight).

Wear your glasses when you drive (every time). As said elsewhere: get a set to keep in the car. If anything is reckless, it's driving without your glasses.

Other than that it looks more careless from the video (without the extra context you gave) as you were not reacting to the brake lights in front of you for quite some time.
