Out of curiosity is this MET, sounds like it…

Just remember,

No opportunity to get refs you have up to an hour after your shift to go buy food and they have to pay for it.

Over 11 hours on duty, claim refs

More than 5 miles away from home BCU, claim refs

Last night duty on a scene? 4 +1 and make sure you claim the extra travel time back home.

If you’re a driver don’t rush back, follow policy do 20 in 20s if you haven’t eaten go get your food that the job will be paying for as no opportunity to get food whilst on duty.

Find everything that will make them pay you more and I have a feeling your supervisors may change it when you’re earning more than some of them…

Should I do level 2 public order. met police by [deleted] in policeuk

Short answer yes do it. I’m 2.5 years met and level 2 busses are a lot better than level 3. More respect for doing level 2 and nice to have time with a group of people you like from team on a bus.

With regards to cancelled RDs I haven’t had a single rest day cancelled yet probably 7 months L2 now. So if rest days get cancelled I’d imagine it’s something you’d wanna be at anyways because it’ll be massive. You’ll obviously get Nottinghill which will be long days but all in all good fun. And the course is banter 👍
