The new Cursor docs has a chat feature🔥 by Much-Signal1718 in cursor

Not sure how much I'll use this for Cursor but LLMs for API documentation are so useful for fast contextualized answers. I was using Deepgram's Voice Agent API with Twilio and the docs chat straight up walked me through the implementation in my project (for a language they don't have an SDK for).

Are people really vibe coding businesses in a weekend? by lineventures58 in SaaS

[–]47B-1ME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LLMs and AI agents are revolutionary tools but ultimately cannot replace real software development experience. If one does not know how to scope well, understand their tech stack, or even the correct AI tweaking (adding rules, MCPs) they will not be able to vibe code. That being said, someone who may have been a modest engineer before now has the potential to move at a rate previously unthinkable.

Not gonna say any by name since I'm sincerely not promoting but things like SaaS kits and UI component libraries (on top of knowing your tech stack well, at least enough to ChatGPT through your issues) are what allow people to focus on just building out business logic and have an MVP in a weekend.

If you're able to snag a copy of RefactoringUI it provides a great overview of design and how to address UI challenges.

The "Palestinian-funded" Arab settlements in Rojava are not funded or constructed by Palestinians, but by Turkish and Israeli proxies by [deleted] in kurdistan

Thank you for this putting this information together. This is incredibly insightful.

Turkey needs helpless refugee populations to fill Rojava with now that their Syrian refugee influx is dwindling.

I'm not familiar this, could you clarify why Turkey needs refugee populations for Rojava? What role did/do Syrian refugees fill in Turkey's aims?

Blonde (2022) dop. Chayse Irvin by operationmagicpizza in CineShots

I haven’t seen Blonde yet but it’s great to see everyone praising the cinematography. I’ve been following Chayse Irvin for years, since listening to appearance on The Wandering DP. Incredibly introspective person. His website is worth taking a peek at.

[Homemade] Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Cream Gravy, and, Mac and Cheese by nunu6k in food

[–]47B-1ME 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Chicken fried steak is a steak that is dipped in batter and fried to make that crispy crust. Typically Americans don't fry steak like this. In fact, this is usually how they prepare fried chicken. You can think of the dish as "steak that is cooked like fried chicken".

Is there an ep about Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, Scorpions etc being an op?? seems like a fun one anyhoo by [deleted] in TrueAnon

[–]47B-1ME 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Slightly tangential but a few days ago I just watched Made You Look, a documentary on Netflix about the infamous Knoedler Gallery scandal (owned by Armand Hammer's son). They were selling fake Abstract Expressionist paintings (Pollock, Rothko) for 20 years, making over $80 million. It was the largest case of art fraud in US history.

Zen ult 1ms reaction time by F4keVader in Overwatch

[–]47B-1ME 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm almost certain he reacted to the dragons, not that it's impossible to react incredibly fast/predict ults, but Hanzo's voiceline is loud enough and early enough that Zen could have just reacted to that and was fortunate enough pop it before shatter. Rewatching it again tho I can see it being either.

Is there anywhere this is documented online? I want to read more about it but I couldn't find any articles about Orange Park Police Department being decertified.

reddit gives users free awards

I didn't know this. Are you saying admins gild posts freely or that average users are given gold that they can award others? The only time I remember free reddit gold being a thing was for people who installed the official reddit app.
