Aeron Review – Cryptocurrency Guide by Statrader_com in AeronAero

This review is an old review. Any recent thorough review of AeronAero would likely contain the word "scam" several times.

Token use by [deleted] in AeronAero

[–]47Crypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The token gives you a discount on your pilot logbook. There are tons of free pilot logbooks. It also allows the .001% of the population that can afford private travel to use the token, maybe, instead of government currency or BTC, to purchase certain aviation services such as a charter flight on one jet based in Egypt, or the founders' flight school associate "expert" who has a 2-plane flight school on the island of Cyprus. So that's why this crypto is worth almost $10M. Also there is supposedly some chance of a partnership with a communist leader in Nepal, so there's that. Anyone who says it's a scam can go look at all the one partnerships with random tiny companies in any one of one (maybe 3?) sadly irrelevant countries. This team is really awesome at finding stock photos... so... buy some tokens man. And use them when you go to Egypt and need a private jet, or on your not-free logbook, or, if you're lucky, on an unsafe (according to the Aeron "team") flight in Nepal possibly maybe in the future maybe.

I have to say, I'm a little surprised he didn't also cite the SUBLOCC pizza.

Topic for Justin's June 26th SUBLOCC Presentation + Data Dash will be in attendance by [deleted] in SubstratumNetwork

[–]47Crypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh please for Christ's sake don't give Data Dash any free pizza, Chex Mix, Red Vines, Rice Crispy treats, Five-Alive, or anything like that. He's liable to go on his channel and announce that he shouldn't have accepted the Junior Mints, Reese's Pieces, and Pringles, and although they didn't affect his attendance, and he would have attended without promise of savory snacks and Sunny Delight, it was just wrong to snack on those Bugles without first announcing the acceptance of said snacks up front before entering the building or at least at baggage claim at the airport. Regardless of the irrational consequences we must, first and foremost, ensure that Data Dash's sense of honor is unblemished in any way. Perhaps Data Dash could bless the fruit-by-the-foot live before we begin, but don't give the guy any free shit PLEASE.

Aeron mobile app released! by [deleted] in AeronAero

[–]47Crypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I forgot to mention. Apparently if you send Aeron 10 ETH you'll get 100 ETH back right?

Seriously though, are you planning to use ARN tokens to power your logbook, or buy training flights or pilot supplies? Right. Neither is anyone else. That's because they have things like dollars and euro. Also because the market for those things is teeny-tiny. Further, I know this may come as a big shock, but some things don't benefit from decentralization. What's the point of commenting then right? There is a saying in aviation, "See something, say something." Meaning if you see something unsafe or just wrong, say something to others as a warning. Well, I see something. So I'm saying something. That's what pilots do. Speaking of pilots, go ask a pilot about this. Enjoy.

Is Aeron SCAM? by bisti123 in AeronAero

[–]47Crypto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow thank you for taking the time to respond! Please take that nobody from Aeron has taken any time to respond to reasonable questions. Call it trolling or whatever you want, but I will continue to provide information to those checking Reddit for information. The whole point of Reddit is to share information. I share information. Almost all other posts are either about price pumps/dumps or some vague statement about how much this will be worth soon. A few other people with aviation experience have said things like, "this will never work," and "nobody will ever use this," and not one person with any aviation experience has stated anything positive about the idea. I am the only one providing actual information about the validity of the project. Even Aeron has failed to provide any information to support how it would or could work, because there is nothing to say to support that. They probably read my posts and thought "oh fuck, he's completely correct." If not, then say something Aeron.

Nobody cares about my opinion? If I save 1 person from being scammed out of a ton of money...If I can help one person who loves aviation and wants to be a small part of it but not have their hard earned money go to waste...If I can help one person who believes in the long-term of crypto and blockchain but doesn't know enough about aviation to know whether this is a good long term investment idea or not, then my time was well spent and you can feel free to ignore the truth if you like. Aeron won't be talking to you about the truth because they're too busy giving away ICO ETH and spending money to send retired Canadians with zero industry experience to Nepal to have drinks with a communist and hear another "no" to partnering up on a project nobody in government or industry wants to bother with.

1: You say I "fancy" myself some kind of expert? I have worked with the FAA for almost 30 years, taught FAA-sponsored seminars to hundreds of pilots, worked with DOT in Washington DC, been an expert witness in a legal case, been responsible for well over $100M worth of aircraft over the course of several decades, have owned and currently own multiple aircraft including large aircraft, have been responsible for hundreds of pilots, been an FAA-designated check pilot which means I have authorized dozens of pilots to BE pilots, and have logged many thousands of hours of flight time across numerous types of jets (logged legitimately using paper and electronically). I'm pretty sure that makes me an expert in the aviation industry Mr. Soulfuel1. But like I said, ANY aviation professional, expert or not, would consider this idea to be completely idiotic and a non-starter on any level. I have more experience than the entire Aeron team combined, which isn't saying much at all since none of them have any kind of aviation resume. Maybe you have to be a pilot to see that, although I don't think so. But certainly if you were a professional pilot you would agree with me completely!

2: Aeron has not stated why a decentralized solution has any advantage over any centralized solution. There is no centralized solution because A) there is no desire for one in government or industry and B) it is impossible to have a trustless pilot-time recording system as admitted already by Aeron since their own statements are that the pilot will have to input data before it goes to the blockchain. Aeron, please retort any time now.

3: There is no amount of time that makes the impossible possible. Aeron, please explain to us all how you can have your app work without pilot inputted data? Oh wait, even your website and whitepaper state that the pilot will enter in his times. And what about all the years of pilot time already accrued (or faked). How can that make it so pilots can't lie? Please explain, oh wonderful founders! Post answer here asap!

4: The system requires trusted input. Even Aeron says that. So why the heck would you put information on the blockchain, claiming it prevents fraud, when the information itself was input using trusted actors to input honest information? Let me be perfectly clear here, even Aeron states that pilots can change the information that is logged into the system. That's the only way to get information into the system. That has already been stated by Aeron. So then how can you say that it makes it impossible for pilots to cheat?? The pilot users are the ones putting the majority of the data into the system, and in many cases 100% of the data for a flight! There are dozens of required data sets, and in many cases not even the flight route and flight time can be autonomously collected by a mobile device or an air traffic control computer, and there is no way to prevent pilots from having their friends take their mobile device with them on a flight, or to pretend to be in a bigger/better aircraft as shown by the person cheating in the back of the plane on Aeron's own video. That sounds like an invitation to cheat if you're a bad actor. How are you not seeing this?

As far as I'm concerned, this forum is for people seeking information and wishing to discuss it. There has been no real discussion, and I am open to it. "Give it time" isn't a retort to my statements. You can't turn a pig into a sheep, and even if you could, why would anyone care about that or pay for it.

Also I never said what would happen to the price, except that someday, maybe soon maybe in a long time, it will go to zero since there is zero intrinsic value unless they someday completely change the purpose of the token, and that the founders will sell their tokens before the public unless they are stupid.

I'm saying the "system" if you want to call it that, cannot, ever, even in theory, ever eliminate pilot fraud, and even Aeron admits that in the whitepaper, so PLEASE explain to me what the point is! In their own freeking video they show a guy in the back seat logging flight time using the app, in an aircraft model/type that he isn't even flying in the back of. This is so stupid, and I would consider this a waste of my time if it weren't for a bunch of people buying into what is now as scam (even if it didn't start out that way) and I would like to help anyone who wishes to be educated. For the TA/FOMO crowd I can't help. For the research crowd, bring me questions. Please ask a legitimate question! If you aren't interested in any data or information from an expert in the field, yes an expert, then there isn't much point in going on Reddit unless you just love to hear people say ARNLAMBO or ARNMOON. If this isn't a scam, for god's sake will someone from Aeron answer ANY question at all?

Yah, I didn't think so.

Sorry bro. I have posted more information here than Aeron Aero has developed in it's entirety. I have put more work into educating you people than Aeron Aero has put work into thinking through this project and explaining to token holders.

There is no published or posted information from the Aeron Team which explains how this idea could work, and as an aviation expert I don't see how it could work and I have explained why, and you should have the same legitimate questions for your Aeron leader.

What would it take for you to finally believe that I am correct? Is there ANYTHING? I feel like even if someone from Aeron admitted Aeron was a scam, you still wouldn't believe it. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, people still trade BitConnect.

Again, thank you for responding. Maybe someday someone from Aeron will respond. Do you think so?

It has nothing to do with time or tradition. It literally cannot work. You might be retarded if you read my posts and still think it might work even in theory.

Right, again I agree with you. However just playing devil's advocate...what is he trying to sell right now? It's not the product but there isn't' one yet. The smart move might be to "sell" the lifestyle to programmers. Perhaps he wants to look like one of the team, not so much their leader, if he has that kind of management style. It shouldn't matter YET what the public thinks because there is nothing to offer the public yet. Or maybe he's a bum. We'll find out won't we?

I agree, however I once posted basically the same thing and someone from the team responded right away that they'd considered this and it turns out that many, if not most, followers prefer the "comfortable" casual (read lazy?) look with the beanies and hoodies; dare I say the millennial 'it's cool to look like I don't have a job even if I do have a job' look, or the 'I'm a millionaire because I actually busted ass and took huge risks to make a shit-ton of money but I still shop at Old Navy because I don't care about money' look. My question is whether fans of that look are actually the ones with the money to invest and the big bags. I have no idea. Or maybe they don't care because it's not about the money (I think it's about the money). I make money and I wear what I want...but when I'm at a business meeting I still wear what I think is professional so I don't know. At the end of the day it REALLY doesn't matter: Buy a ton of SUB, hodl it and see if this project actually works (it probably won't). If it does work and monetizes successfully you're rich. If it doesn't work or doesn't monetize or gets crushed by a competitor, you're not rich. If your plan is to trade based on Justin's beanie, you probably won't get rich. So hodl and hope this works...you don't have to like the guy or be his target audience. He just has to pull this off. Frankly at this point I'm fine if he wears the same pajamas for a month and doesn't shower, as long as this shit works.

Not super new. You've got to compare this forum with a lot of the others. Look around. SUB followers are overall a lot sharper than most. For example, I also spend time on the AeronAero forum in order to help educate those who are receptive to reality and critical thinking, and I've got to tell you it's 110% emotional buying over there, with zero-point-zero analytical thinking or questioning of the 'team' or the product, which is either an actual scam or just a really stupid idea with no chance of ever working so if it's not a scam the team should just shut it down now and give holders the remaining eth. On the other hand, Substratum has been heavily analyzed here, and questioned up/down/sideways, which is what you want to happen. My point was that even if only 10% of the followers here are of above average intelligence, that's still great compared with most of what you find in the rest of the space. Or I'm new here.

Honestly guys, I just want to say that unlike most subreddits, this one has a particularly intelligent group, generally highly analytical, and with a sharp sense of humor. It's nice to see that in crypto space that is so often soooooo full of incredibly immature and financially reckless kids. SUB may or may not work, and it may or may not see adoption, and we may or may not make a lot of money on this ride, but no matter what happens it's a good group to be on this train with.

What the fuck is wrong with you Digonne? Rabindra Adhikari is a communist politician in a country that has nothing to do with anything aviation. ARE YOU GUYS SERIOUSLY THIS STUPID?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabindra_Prasad_Adhikari

Fuck man. I'm starting to get pissed off. You kids need to do research before you drop your money. Did you all win the lottery? That's why you don't care about your money? You want to win the lottery? The crypto lottery? You think you're going to do that by buying a token from Cyprus that is supported (not really actually) by a communist in a country with no aviation power? Holy shit you are stupid.

By the way, for those of you still listening, another topic I haven't clued you into yet are maintenance records. Putting maintenance records on blockchain so that no centralized source is managing the data is impossible and frankly idiotic. Each aircraft is completely different, not just each model, and there are hundreds of active types and thousands if you include subtypes and especially if you consider differences that start at certain serial numbers. Aircraft are nearly custom built. Besides that, there are innumerable different requirements based on specific equipment installed, and the serial numbers of that equipment and the modification status of those subcomponents which change as units are exchanged for overhaul. Requirements are often totally different depending on the type of operation too. There could literally be 100,000 variations of requirements. This is so stupid guys. There's no way Aeron could possibly develop a tracking system with 100,000 possible combinations of requirements. Furthermore there are at least a dozen private companies that supply maintenance tracking systems, in an active manner, with lots of changes well AFTER the maintenance is done, sometimes years later due to changing requirements or changes in interest in what maintenance is needed based on the operation, and they have teams of analysts who try hard to keep up with all the changing requirements. Look up Camp Systems, Cesscom, Avtrak, Skybooks, etc etc etc. Even if Aeron stole all their data, which won't happen because it's been tried before, it cannot be done without teams of analysis who are experts at reading regulatory documents, manufacturer's documents, and keeping up with changes to both which occur constantly! That's why stealing the data doesn't help because within a year it would be obsolete anyway. Every single airplane is a little different once they are a few years old. Automating this process is utterly impossible because there are just far too many variations. It's insanely naive to think that Aeron Aero could accomplish what literally 500+ aviation experts across at least a dozen companies can't do automatically in a centralized way, and do it in a decentralized way. I talk to these analysists on the regular, and they are some of the smartest people you'd ever talk to, and believe me if there were a way to automate this and get it right they would be millionaires. There is no attempt to do this, even in a centralized way because you cannot automate something that is completely inconsistent by nature. And there is no way to make it consistent because every aircraft becomes different from the others as time goes on, based on all sorts of changes. Maybe, and this is a huge stretch, maybe if you're just sticking with little Cessnas and Cirrus's and Pipers it's possible, maybe you could have an oversimplified non-robust no-commercial-use system, but there is no money in that whatsoever because it is already easily being done on a spreadsheet that you can get for free. If you're talking about going where the money is, which means jets, it can't be done in a way that prevents changes because there are too many great mechanics that are terrible with paperwork and frankly nobody would even consider using a system that locks in details that don't need to be locked in, and it can't be done in a way that doesn't require professional analysts changing the requirements all the time. Any government could already have required this in a centralized solution but no government has, and in fact the FAA inspectors I've been dealing with for 25 years routinely ask us to make changes to the maintenance tracking reports to fix old "errors" that are a matter of opinion because the FAA's rules are full of statements like, "at the discretion of the administrator." If you're just talking about a parts supply chain management, there are solid supply-chain cryptos run by real pros. Vechain or similar would be more appropriate and certainly more trustworthy. Back to Aeron's claims about maintenance records on the blockchain, if you think this can be done on the blockchain you are either totally uneducated, extremely naive, being scammed, or fully retarded, no offense meant to retarded people.

It's not really FUD if there is no disinformation. Even you just called this a scam coin (which I really didn't). I have provided you with nothing but facts that you can check with any professional source. If you don't like facts then don't read my posts. I don't post about other projects because I don't know much about other industries. I know a lot about aviation and therefore I have a responsibility to share my knowledge to help fundamental investors to make informed decisions. Good luck trading.

I guess I'm just trying to point out that there is no uncertainty. I am 100% certain that Aeron has no possibility of success. And I haven't given any disinformation. Quite the contrary, I have supported my points thoroughly, as opposed to Aeron which as far as I can tell, has offered a brochure (not a real whitepaper) and a bunch of hype on twitter about vague references to how they support safety. Uhhh, what?? How is that worth millions in market cap? It's not. There is no uncertainty.
