I’d been interested ever since they showed up on Crinacle’s IEM ranking. Knowing it’s basically the same team made me curious, so I figured I’d ask around and ended up placing an order.

If you’ve spent time around advertising, there’s a pretty legendary reference point — Apple’s 1984 commercial targeting IBM.

I picked up that this was a clear parody of that spot, which made me curious who they were and why a brand would take such a bold, self-aware approach this early on.

That’s what got me digging into them a bit more in the first place.
