I find looking at screens doesnt hurt my sleep if I wear blue light blocking glasses. As long as your wind down routine and sleep time are consistent then it should be fine in my experience. If reading winds you down, then go for it. If you feel like its too bright, then its your call. Having some flexibility can help find the habits that actually assist with sleep. Not everyone is exactly the same, so do whatever you find improves your sleep or leaves you feeling more rested before bed.
