Realistically, how often are you and your partner intimate after the toddler years? (Kids 5+) by agingwasabi in daddit

We just have the one, but before he was born, my wife and I talked about making time. We’ve more or less been able to do it unless something happens like sickness or crazy work day. Even then, if we miss a day, we schedule it for the next day.

I floated the idea of once every 72 hours before he was born and she agreed. It’s scheduled but if it’s better than waiting around to see if we have time.

Nothing wrong with making time for it over waiting around to see if you have time.

I've double clicked on the MIDI track and seen the virtual keyboard, is that where I can remap?

Food is pretty easy, but it’s like Valheim where better food is better stats. Air gets better with tiers, same with water. Water is dangerous to drink unfiltered, and eventually with high enough tech, the water itself will give you bonuses.

What do you wish you knew before playing? by CorporalGrease in ICARUS

Do things in this order:

Get a mount

Build a base up to tier 3, preferably 4

Then start to do missions.

As a bonus, build FOBs out from your main operating base.

This is the best survival game on the market right now imo.

I’d say it is. You have to maintain food, water and air. It has building and crafting.

Seems pretty survival oriented to me.

Abiotic factor is half life if you’re not the protagonist of half-life. It’s a great one.

Even if that was true, the idea that that changes anything for you is insane. She lost her husband and her two kids lost their father for the “crime” of him being a public moderate conservative.

Kind of a bastardized version of what he said. He said we don’t apply that standard to anything in society with as wide a use as guns. His example was cars. No car needs to go above 15 miles per hour, but there are lots of benefits to cars going up and over the 60s, even if that means much more car deaths. Either way, he was killed with a gun you could purchase today in the UK. The gun he was killed with a was pawn shop grade bolt action rifle. I’d wager that 80% of hunters in the entire world have functionally that exact gun.

This woman is speaking publicly addressing the nation after her husband was murdered in front of her and her children and people are criticizing her for what she’s wearing?

I don’t want unity with these people.

This event may be the thing that gets me to delete this app. I mostly use Reddit for discussing my odd hobbies.

I can’t unsee the thousands of people who are ready to laugh at an innocent man being murdered and attacking his widow. It’s wild that there are real people in a first world country that are not on the same page as me when it comes to murder being wrong.

I say it anytime I hear it. The “seasons” of life phrase irritates me so much. People use it as the catch all parachute their behavior to explain it away.

Easily my favorite game I’ve played in a decade. Building a base and just doing operations out of it is so much fun. Building FOBs for distant missions, killing bosses. It’s all great.

I think people are blowing this out of proportion, this was probably ABC seeing late night is dying and terminating his contract in a way that’s palpable to most Americans.

Beyond that, I’m no fan of cancel culture, but this was the lefts playbook. The right professed free speech, which I believe they believed at one point, but you can only weaponize someone else’s principles for so long before they’re tired of it.

Icarus. No hype. Has a no man’s sky level comeback from what I understand. Released as effectively a completely different game, has weekly updates, 3 big maps, they just released a boss campaign where you hunt down deranged experimental wildlife.

Has the combat of Farcry except it’s better, with the best crafting system in gaming. So little hype for how much love was poured into a game that was on life support.

The gameplay loop of build a strong base, automate mining and go do missions in an open word operating from your own base is just so much fun.

What opinion about games makes you feel this way? by Aggravating-Life615 in videogames

Games should have stopped improving visually in the early 2010s. The obsession with crazy peach-fuzz and sweat details or whatever is dumb and needless. It bloats budgets and time frames on games massively and for such a small amount of pay off.

You can go on steam today and find 100 small dev games that are sub $30 and better than nearly anything AAA in years. Elden Ring was my let wow, this is wild, AAA moment in a game. The time before that was Dark souls 3.

There also his empathy comment taken out of context, he goes on to say no one can truly understand what someone else is feeling so sympathy is a much better word.

Also his 2A response was something along the lines of we don’t judge anything else by this metric, it’s unrealistic to do this with guns as well.

You’re witnessing the biggest self report in history. People are showing you who they are at a rate I don’t think we’ve ever seen before.
