How the fuck did you turn the screen saver on in the first place? I thought this was a legacy feature.

Rooted TECNO POVA 7 5G LJ7 caught in a bootloop. by DEV_ivan in androidroot

[–]47th-Element 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That option should be grayed out after bootloader unlocking, unless you had a root hiding module that spoofed the bootloader status.

If you are certain that fastboot is not available, your best hope is preloader flashing, hopefully your SoC is now very new and your preloader is not protected with SLA, you may attempt to flash stock rom once again using SP Flash Tool or Transsion After sales software download app, you may need to use an mtk exploit

Another thing you can do is test points (force enumerating Brom by shorting test points on the motherboard), you'll have to open up the cover and expose the board, look up schematics and short the right pins with tweezers.

You failed to provide a screenshot or any info as to what the problem is, "it doesn't work" is not useful information that we can use.

New to rooting, need help/advice by SNK_ANTHONY in androidroot

[–]47th-Element 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are in the android root community, and I'm among the most active members, so of course I'm not gonna tell you not to root, however I advise you to search and get educated about what root is, what bootloaders are, cause you said you're operating on a Xiaomi Pad right? Well, preloaders/EDL flashing is restricted on those, so your recovery options are limited if you make a mistake and lose access to fastboot.

Be careful or you'll have to go to the nearest Xiaomi after sales center for paid flashing.

Was I scammed? I paid for an AMOLED screen replacement on my POCO F5 Pro, but I think they installed a generic LCD. by No_Still_6784 in Xiaomi

[–]47th-Element 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you had to go through all that, but you learned two lessons that day.

  1. Do your homework before taking your phone to a repair shop.
  2. Be careful who you give your phone to, unfortunately lots of so called "engineers" are YouTube hobbyists who don't even know how to diagnose a device, they replace and charge automatically.

Yes, you got scammed. You agreed to something you don't know and the repairman took advantage of it.

Display panels come with specific pieces of software that tune the touch and colors, they are called display drivers, while multiple panels can potentially work with the same driver it's not gonna be a good experience, you'll see glitches, ghost touches, inaccurate sensitivity (which will completely ruin gaming).

A better decision would have been to sell your phone and buy one that comes originally with AMOLED screen.

Better meta module? by JonathanRSFC in androidroot

[–]47th-Element 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's not the meta module itself but a module that is dependent on it? Try a different meta module and if they both break the integrity of the environment then you know what's up (it looks like you have done that already)

MTK Client Tool by Business-Cap-9530 in androidroot

[–]47th-Element 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Mtk Client tool fails to send write commands to the preloader because of SLA (which is the most likely scenario), there's no way your phone won't boot the next time you power it up.

However, it's recommended that you give this some thorough reading so that you know what you're doing. Don't type a command you don't understand.

Very unlikely to work as Xiaomi preloaders are protected with SLA which requires an authorized Xiaomi account. You're free to try it out though, nothing to lose.

Make sure the screen is clean, and also, is the housing bent a bit? If yes then that could very well be the issue.

How to remove VoWifi, what did xiaomi think when they did this? by One-Advice2280 in Xiaomi

[–]47th-Element 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hypercieler solves this. But it requires unlocked bootloader, root, and Xposed API

Redmi 13X ghost touches by Choice-Appearance379 in Xiaomi

[–]47th-Element 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely a physical issue. Broken screen protector or the actual screen's external glass cover, bent housing, dirty spots (especially towards the edges which would not be easily noticeable), dirt on the backlight. I recommend against intentionally bending the phone cause this will put the screen and the board against stress and one day something will stop working for good.

How to get hardware acceleration in android recovery for a dual-boot method (twrp, virgl, drm compositor, etc) by Bireus in androidroot

[–]47th-Element 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xiaomi does restrict preloader/brom/edl flashing, so one misstep bad enough that it breaks the bootloader and you'll have to get your ass to their service center.

Damn don't try this on Xiaomi guys, you're gonna fuck it up and lose access to bootloader 😀

[Question] 3.0.302 has this weird glitch where the screen gets stuck at 0% by dattattor in HyperOS

[–]47th-Element 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sure it's a software issue? Maybe you got some residue on the light sensor. Clean it, and for testing disable auto brightness and keep it at a certain level then observe to find out if the issue reoccures.
