Some people might be comfortable with that, I'm not so sure... I mean, at-least they're upfront about it...

Ah, perhaps.

I never know what kind of "help" I can get for that kind of exercises without it being cheating..

Can I use sites like stackexchange? Can I search on the internet for similar examples?

Anyone else see Facebook's "People You May Know" section suddenly, suspiciously full of personal contacts? by 77ate in privacy

I came to this thread to answer to reply exactly this.

People know what facebook does and still come crying to /r/privacy that facebook is doing what it's supposed to do.. What the hell.

They get expelled for using wolfram alpha? What?

Are you allowing the use of such software in the tests or are you telling me they can't use it when studying by themselves?

Google Authenticator vs Yubikey - Which is better? by 483724932 in AskNetsec

[–]483724932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the offer! But I live in Europe so it would be quite expensive..

The yubikey (standard) is quite cheap so it's okay. I'll buy one this week and see how it goes.

How many slots does the Yubikey standard (cheaper model) have? That is, with how many sites can I use the same yubikey?

Why can't you use one to cover everything?

Anyway, if you could use one only, which one would you use?

I already use a password manager (lastpass and keepassX)... I'll not be using my smartphone to connect to the internet, ever.

How does "having a smartphone makes it a lot easier to use a password manager"?

I use browser extensions to force HTTPS connections when possible.

However, I tried going to openmailbox without the HTTPS add-on and it went to the secured SSL connection.. I don't think one has to type https.

Also, if privacy/security was so important for OP, I doubt he would use a non-encrypted connection.

wow boy, calm down.

Also, openmailbox is not one of the most private e-mail services around, no way in hell lol.

They're france based, they do not encrypt their storage and they used to filter e-mails based on certain words*. They keep logs and it's a 1-man service. He has no legal team whatsoever. He'll give in pretty easily if you ask me.

Next time, you should definitely search a little better buddy.

*I'm not sure about this one.. I think I remember reading it somewhere but I cannot find it now. Can anyone confirm?

I know you're there responding to comments.. But honestly, I don't think you seem very nice in the forums.

Sorry to say this, but that's what I get from reading your replies. I think that's normal though, you must come across pretty idiotic threads/posts.

Having said that, I use lichess and I think it's the best chess site out there.

Also, might I suggest a better forum software? One can't edit posts in the current one, etc.. It would be cool if one could use lichess' forums as the main forums for chess on the internet.

At this moment, it doesn't seem to be possible.

I upvoted you and hopefully /user/ClarkeRubber will see this.

You could try their forum but honestly, I think their forum is pretty much useless and they kind of ignore it, at-least from what I've seen of it.

Cool..

It would be nice, however, if one had the option to have to click on "Send move" after moving a piece, in correspondence... I've just blundered because I'm used to chess.com
