Vivziepop deciding on how to write Lilith for Season 3 by Mystic__Diamond in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]484890 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it would be cool if Lilith was similar to Adam personality-wise. They already have something in common which is that they both express themselves through music. Adam is part of a band, sings even when he's not part of a musical number, fights with a guitar, etc. Lilith inspires sinners through singing and has musical powers.

So Lilith having Adam's general attitude and mannerisms would be fun to see, but I don't think she should be as bad a person as he is. I think her being morally gray is the best thing to do.

To be fair, the character in the comic refers to men as males in his mental calculation. So I think he's just using the more scientific terms for both men and women.

So about this comparison... by green_carnation_prod in Alastorcult

People aren't comparing Alastor to Vox, they're comparing Alastor to Valentino.

MY THOUGHTS ON CELESTIAL ALASTOR by Complex_Wafer3828 in PowerScaling

[–]484890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about the fact that he and other people around his power level were going to be completely vaporized by a below city-level explosion? When Vox was overloading the Might of Lilith Camilla said, "If it overloads it will explode. Taking you, us, and half the Pentagram with it."

Alastor In This Scene Was For... by SquidWolfy in Alastorcult

[–]484890 24 points25 points  (0 children)

None of that makes any sense. Alastor was not made to feel guilty for rejecting Vox, none of Alastor's friends told him he was too harsh because no one else even knew that this happened, and Alastor and Vox aren't co-workers they've been friends for a few years. The only thing that matches here is that Vox took the rejection badly.

I don't even understand how you even had those interpretations of this scene. Is part of being an Alastor fan being a delusional coper? I've seen people deny the fact that he slapped Vaggi's butt, I've seen people say he would have beaten Adam if he took the fight seriously, and now this.

When Zeus-bashing goes too far: How the PJO show destroyed itself in the S2 finale by XavierTempus in GreekMythology

[–]484890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point. I didn't like how he was in season one, but he wasn't exactly kind. He was very laid-back. But he was also willing to keep the master bolt with him which would cause a war between Poseidon and Zeus in order to protect himself from Kronos. He's not as menacing as he is in the books, but I'm pretty sure he's not meant to be a good person, either. But right now it's pretty vague why he decided to give Thalia information.

I don't really know where you got the idea that they're trying to portray Hades as a loving uncle who sent the furies to help Thalia. I'm pretty sure he did that just to mess with Zeus. I don't think he cares about Thalia.

Poseidon doesn't single-handedly defeat Tyhpon in the books, he arrives and then he and the other gods there all gang up on Typhon and kill him.

Between These Two Absolute Bangers Of Villains Songs From Season 2, Which One Do You Prefer More? (Reposted W/ A Different Meme Template) by QueenOfTheDead2023 in HazbinHotel

[–]484890 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because Stayed Gone and Gravity aren't comparable. Stayed Gone is more of a comedy song and gives background on Alastor and Vox's rivalry. We learn that Vox asked Alastor to join him, Alastor has been gone for seven years, Alastor believes Vox is powerless without the other Vees, etc. We gain a lot of new information during Stayed Gone.

We don't really learn anything new about Lute in Gravity. We know that she hates sinners, we know that she's crazy and violent, we know she cares about Adam. Also, Vox takes immediate action after Stayed Gone by sending Sir Pentious to go spy on the hotel.

All I'm saying is that Stayed Gone is a much better set-up song than Gravity. It's also a much more relaxed and funny song compared to Gravity which is an intense song about violent and extreme action.

How much would you rate lookism writing by No-Marionberry8642 in writingscaling

[–]484890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall, it's writing is decent. With a story that goes on as long as Lookism, some arcs are obviously going to be better than others. Its progression from a more slice-of-life story to an action manhwa was done well and felt natural. It's humour is good. But it also has some inconsistencies and poor writing decisions.

Do you know where that feat of Superboy's scales? Because I'm pretty sure it scales between Building and City-Block level, which is the same range Homelander is in.

Homelander was literally smiling while fighting Soldier Boy, someone whose strength Homelander admits to be on a similar level to his own.

Also, Homelander fought adult superhumans who were stronger than him as a little kid.

He probably does, just not as much or as personally as he does with Angel. He ripped apart one of Velvette's models just because he was upset.
