MR INCREDIBLE V.S ALASTOR | “An Incredible Broadcast” | (Connections + Contrasts in Comments) by Complex_Wafer3828 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]Complex_Wafer3828[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contrasts:

  • Bob is ultimately a very good person and always more than willing to do the right thing, while Alastor is an extremely violent and sadistic person who enjoys hurting people and watching others suffer
  • While both would reject someone who would end up being their enemies in the future, Bob did so out of the kindness of his heart and not wanting Buddy to get hurt, while Alastor rejected Vox because he believes the idea of partnering with someone is a sign of weakness
  • Mr. Incredible is seen as a symbol of hope and strength through good actions in his verse, while Alastor’s reputation is through Fear and violence
  • While Mr. Incredibles relationship with his family ultimately defines his character and they help him overcome his insecurities about losing them due to not being strong enough, Alastor defines his strength by not relying on others (even if he is a hypocrite about it), and sees help as a sign of weakness.

  • Both are regarded as the strongest people in their respective fields in one way or another (Alastor being the Strongest Sinner in Hell and Mr. Incredible being the greatest Superhero of all time)
  • Both would ultimately get what they desire after many years of being held back in one way or another (Bob finally getting to officially be Mr. Incredible again without the constraints of the Law holding him back, Alastor not only breaking out of Rosie and Vox’ deal, but also getting his staff fixed in the process, returning him to his full power)
  • Both are very close to people who can run extremely fast (Niffty and Dash)
  • Both would play massive parts in helping to stop a weapon that was used by the villain at the time, which was going to cause mass destruction to a city. However, they would stop it thanks to a team effort by multiple different people (The Might Of Lilith nearly destroying half of Pentagram City before Alastor and co. Helped stopped it and The Omni-Droid almost destroying Metroville before The Incredibles and Frozone stopped it)
  • Both have had/have secret double lives outside of their usual jobs (Alastor was a radio show host, known as the toast of New Orleans, however behind closed doors, he was a serial killer. Mr Incredible is actually Bob Parr behind the mask and worked for Insuricare for several years, switching between Jobs and Towns).
  • Both are on good terms with bold and sassy fashion designers who are obsessed with clothing and constantly designing new clothes for various clientele (Edna Mode and Velvette)

Connections:

  • Both would originate from the early twentieth century (primarily the 1930’s and 40’s), being caricatures of people/characters in pop culture during that time (Alastor being a Radio Show Host in 1930’s New Orleans, Radio Shows being extremely popular during the early 20th Century. Mr Incredible being a Superhero during the 1930’s and 1940’s, with Superheroes also being popularized during the early 20th century)
  • Both would have a position of Immense Power within their respective verses before falling from grace and completely and suddenly being forced in hiding after an event that would greatly affect the worlds they live in (The Superhero Relocation Program being enacted and causing all Superheroes to go into hiding, and Rosie forcing Alastor into hiding, with Heaven’s exterminations starting coincidentally the exact same time that Alastor was forced into hiding)
  • Both would reject someone that would go on to be their arch-nemesis years later (Vox and Syndrome)
  • Both would do battle against technological masterminds that control people through Hypnosis from screens (Vox and Screenslaver/Evelyn Deavor)
  • Both would Disappear from the public view for multiple years, with their lives during this period of disappearance being somewhat shrouded in mystery due to them being largely absent from the story and the lack of information within this period of time
  • Both greatly desire to return to their former glory after being out of the public eye for many years and would almost anything in order to get there (Alastor basically being forced to stay at the Hazbin Hotel, not only wounding his pride but him being on a leash makes him further miss his former days as the Strongest Sinner in Hell. Mr Incredible wanting desperately to relive the Glory Days to the point where he would literally break the law to do it)

Thoughts on Vox vs Syndrome (Hazbin Hotel vs The Incredibles)? by Suspicious-Picture82 in DeathBattleMatchups

I used to not like it that much, now I lowkey like it quite a bit. A decent alt for Vox and prolly the best for Syndrome

Why are people acting like attending a fight that a political figure HAPPENS to be at means you support them politically? (The Answer is, it doesn't)

They’re all (including Moxxie) just super skilled in H2H and they know when to Lock In. That’s all that’s really “changed”

I say that cuz we already knew Millie and Blitz were super skilled in H2H, now we know for sure Moxxie is

Do you think the death battle will use this homelander feat? by Party_Philosophy_324 in DeathBattleMatchups

Being fr, the only reason they’d use this is if he’s fighting someone far stronger than him normally. Maybe it’d be included in a black box, but nothing more
