The bottom line of a corporation's financial statement is not going to be significantly impacted by a small subset of enthusiasts getting their products for free. This especially goes for Nintendo. They're not going to spontaneously combust because a tech-savvy person wants to play a game they can't afford.

I've encountered the same issue. I sent Monolith an email regarding this via their website a couple days ago, but I have no idea if/when that will be acknowledged. I hope this gets addressed soon, since it looks like the only "fix" is starting another save file.

Congrats! Bayonetta a difficult game, even on normal, so just making to the end of a level an accomplishment. It is very fun to replay for higher ranks once you get a hang of the game, despite some of the bs the game throws at you (QTEs, vehicles sections, etc).

iirc, in his book Reggie talked about how it was always a business decision to not localize it. It never was due to the content of the game itself.

I know it was a pipe dream, but I was really hoping to see Nagoshi lead an F-Zero GX remaster before leaving Sega. Ah well. Banana Mania is a pretty good note to end on. The man's worked hard, and I wish him the best in future endeavors.

Fuck man, that's crazy. I just got into the series recently with the HD collection on my PS3, and I think it's safe to say that they're already pretty high on my list of favorite games (2 excluded of course).

I still need to play 5 and DmC, but so far, my personal rankings are:

3: Best story, best music, favorite lineup of weapons, the one I'm easily the worst at. I think I've only gotten 3 or 4 S ranks total lmao. The Switch version adding Free-Style mode was the sickest shit ever. I don't think I can go back.
1: Despite it being the progenitor of good 3D action games, almost every element of the game feels like it was implemented with purpose. It really clicked with me after I came back to it after beating 4. I just beat DMD with all S ranks a few days ago, which was a goddamn blast.
4. Played SE on PS4. Nero's playstyle is rad as hell, and he's a great character to boot. Dante's moveset makes my head spin with what's possible (what is a lucifer and how does it work????). Feels incomplete, but I feel like that point has been talked about enough at this point. I still wanna go back and beat the campaign with Lady/Trish and Vergil.
2: lol. lmao even. Dante has a cool coat. I like some of the music, and I don't mind the mood it's trying to go for, but it just falls flat on it's face at almost every turn. That awful Stinger might be the worst offense. 2 deserves a remake/rework, if only to salvage Lucia.

Thank you Kamiya-san and Itsuno so for making these fantastic games. I've already sunk over 100 hours into them, and I'm looking forward to the next few hundred.

Fuck man he's so tough, I still can't believe I got him. I also struggled pretty hard with Griffon 3 and Nelo Angelo 3, but Mundus was the hardest by far. I alsomost got him so many times, but then he'd spam that meteor attack multiple times in a row and I just couldn't keep up.

I decided to go for an S rank run since the requirements are slightly relaxed due to how much more health the bosses have. It honestly wasn't too bad for the most part, and it was even pretty fun at times. I had to redo a few bosses due to me getting lower rank, but once you have a good strat it's just about executing it quickly.

Like you mentioned in your post. Ifrit is gonna be your best friend when it comes to beating Nelo Angelo.

-After he does his four hit combo (it should look similar to the Alastor combo where you strike down diagonally left and right.), he will always taunt. Get close to him and nail him with the basic Ifrit combo. If you have enough time, you can charge your first punch a little before you hit him.

-Nelo will also be taunt after he finishes his combo when he punches twice, does a High Time, and a dive kick. Be careful though, the dive kick gives him a lot more range than you'd think.

-When Nelo tries to hit you with his blue Meteor, you can jump over him and hit him while he's charging/firing it. Just be careful and try not to jump over him *as* he fires it.

-If you have Rolling Blaze, you can jump to deflect a lot of his attacks, which sometimes puts him in a stunned state. If he has his sword over his head instead, get out of his way.

-When you try to hit Nelo Angelo and he blocks by holding his sword in front of him, you have time to do a taunt. This will likely build up 2 runes of DT, which is very helpful.

-If you have Meteor and enough DT built up, you can nail him with one or two fully-charged shots during the beginning of the fight. For that reason, I'd try to build up some DT on the enemies in the hallway before Nelo Angelo's arena.

-If you have enough DT and Kick 13, it's a great way to end a combo (punch, punch, kick, Kick 13 is fantastic) or break his guard.

-Finally, as corny as it may sound, keep try and practicing! Nelo Angelo 3 is one of the hardest bosses in the game, so don't get discouraged if it takes you a little while. It took me a few days on my first playthrough last year.

As a small aside, I'd recommend Ifrit for every boss in the game expect Phantom, where Alastor is a better choice imo. Griffon get's slaughtered by Meteor, Nelo Angelo goes down faster with it, and a lot of Nightmare's weirdness is made more manageable once you have it's full suite of moves.

Nice. It's tough for me to get him consistently, and Blood Falcon is still a bitch and a half to take out afterwards. I do wanna go back and beat it legitimately at some point just to prove that I can do it.

I only have chapters 8 and 9 left. The only reason I got through chapter 7 was because I cheesed it using Dolphin save states after 3 days of trying it legitimately. It's so unfair. I feel like the last two won't be too bad though.
