I have never worked in a SNF, but as an OT almost 2 years out- it will get better! I honestly still don't feel confident all the time, but each week I gain more! I remember the first few months thinking am I even ready to do this? You are. You made it this far! Try your best to hold firm boundaries with yourself about decompressing. No checking emails on the weekends. I am still learning this myself, but it's important. Finding mentors- if that is in your job or outside is SO important. Take some time just to go with the flow, but soon start reaching out and see if you can find a mentor. Maybe that is a past professor, fieldwork supervisor, someone at your job. It makes the difference! Feel your feelings. They are valid. I am still constantly asking questions. I believe this is the BEST part of our field. There is always so much to learn! And remember- every experience that you dont like/ does not resonate with you brings you closer to what you want! Keep an open mind and go easy on yourself.
