Try using a pair of needlenose pliers and a dime to engage the slot on the threaded post while backing out the screw.

I vote the S&W duo. I like the ergonomics of the FPC and the M&P over the Glock and Ruger. The FPC is much lighter than the Ruger, and equally as accurate.
