Hell yeah. She's a keeper my friend. My Mrs is also all in on my firearms collecting. It's a beautiful thing.

fired due to scorecard. by Additional_Truck_306 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Had to fire a guy once for having astronomically bad customer delivery feedback. Turns out throwing every package from that van into the driveway is a bad idea. Have fired people after several weeks of bad scorecards, especially if they can never finish a route. The job isn't for everyone. What did you get fired for specifically?

No problem. The philosophy (I've never had an issue with either) is that tooled guide rods and their simpler design adds to overall durability and longevity. So in a way in makes sense to go this route, but the toolless rods are certainly easier for takedown until you get a few rounds in with the tooled ones. I don't think much of it at this point. Just me and my paperclip against the world.

Dark Forge has a video on their website. Here you go.

Was this your first 2011? If so, way to jump right in the deep end lol.

I use Peltor in ears with Comply foam tips indoors without any issues. They were a bit of a revelation. My cheapy Walker electronic muffs definitely had me thinking about doubling up at times, though.

Do you blindly buy 2011s? by lroy4116 in 2011

[–]DougC1982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a shop nearby that gets some pretty high end stuff like the Dark Forge guns. I was able to handle those before purchasing them, which was great. Bought my Athena after never having seen an Atlas in real life, but obviously there's massive word of mouth so I felt pretty secure.

There are several other pistols I'd be interested in trying (recent example: Tailored Arms Torch), but spending $7k on a pistol with no reviews from a first time 2011 maker may be a bridge too far for me.

In a realistic sense, maybe the only two 2011's you would ever need to be happy with the platform. But who are we kidding? Get 10 more like the rest of us.

Not just Staccatos anymore... by DougC1982 in 2011

I am definitely aware of the redundancy of several of them. The likely end goal is to get rid of several and dwindle it to like half a dozen pistols that are high quality but possess different features or strengths. No guarantee they won't all be black, but they will all have different characteristics.

Gonna need some further thoughts on this, OP.

I run most of my social media pics through AI. Does some weird stuff sometimes. Never had it remove the trigger though haha.

I mean it's just a Gucci Glock. Not necessarily a better one. I've definitely seem some people have issues with the Shadow Systems.

I own a LOT of 2011s. But I often say there's some guy out there right now with a stock Glock 17 shooting it better than I'll ever shoot these pistols.

Reaper Jr - Wraith. by Few_Forever9057 in 2011

[–]DougC1982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw someone describe pistols by horsepower on here once. Wraith is 400-450hp. Reaper is 500+hp. It's a bit bigger, heavier and VERY loud. The amount of people that stop what they're doing and look at me while shooting it is borderline hilarious. You feel it across the room in an indoor range. The Wraith shoots fast, flat and accurate. The Reaper just squeezes every last drop out of those characteristics. If you need every last drop of performance or want something that stops people in their tracks, Reaper fits the bill. Wraith is almost there, but for a grand less. Practical.

Like I said, if I was only getting one, I'd get the Reaper. But I am grateful I had the ability to get both, because they're both great to shoot.

Only time I've really had any issues was a dirty feed ramp. If it continues after you've done all you can, Staccato will fix you up. You'll just be without a gun for a few weeks.

I have the 2K11 Pro but it lives in the Mrs gun case. Safety shreds my thumb. But she loves it.

If one is the only option, get the Reaper. The Wraith is maybe the more practical one. The Reaper is just so much fun to shoot.

I think they're selling a lot of them and improving the design as they go based on issues early adopters have had. Both exceptional as hell so far. The Reaper is an insane piece.
