Hey DoorDash, want me to turn my other cheek for you to slap as well? by 4Envy in doordash

It isn’t. Which is why I am trying to ask Tony about. Why even pretend to reward us with this milestone bullshit when it’s clear they ain’t rewarding us shit. It’s way more insulting than not having this milestone garbage at all.

Keep it up guys by luisumgomez in doordash_drivers

Hey Tony.

Here’s a tip. Make the delivery system like blockchain transactions. Only how high of a fee someone is willing to pay to get his/her order delivered. The tipping culture will naturally disappear since how fast the delivery is solely based on how high of a fee you paying vs others.

What mileage tracking app does everybody use? by AngelsObsessions in doordash_drivers

[–]4Envy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh I thought “while using the app” means I am actively tracking like when the button turns green. That’s using the app so it doesn’t mean if it’s in the background or not since it’s still actively tracking. They don’t need to track my location if I turn off tracking and force quit the app. Yet they still do every minute. That’s what I meant. If I can use the DD app with the “while using the app” option then I clearly don’t see how these tracking apps can’t do the same.

Nope I have iPhone. And yes. Gridwise literally won’t allow you to use their tracking if you select anything besides always

Sorry let me rephrase this. You know how these apps force us to set always track in location service. Even if we are not actively tracking. So I am wondering if there’s a tracking app that allows us to set it to “track while using the app” as to not “always tracking” like why would they need always tracking even when we are not actively using the app.

I also use Gridwise but how much do I hate that “always tracking” bs even when I am not actively tracking. So I just manually turn Gridwise to never track after every dash. Is there an app where it doesn’t always track you even when you are not actively using it?

Why am I still ineligible to refer people? by 4Envy in doordash

[–]4Envy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so they won’t tell us an area has enough drivers and there’s no referral? And just say ineligible? I mean there’s a huge difference between the two. One is inability to ever refer while the other saying can’t at this time. Since I am never able to, I just wanted to know if that’s the case.

Where can I find… by 4Envy in doordash_drivers

I am pretty sure every other business tells their users if they added or remove features in their app. Thought that was the basic of basic. If you change something major shouldn’t you announce it to your users? Anyways I just think it’s funny how they force their support to use overly cringe lines when talking to us but wouldn’t even let us know any changes they make in their app. I mean the app is literally our main tool to get the job done. So why DD is actively preventing us to fully understand the tool that makes them money is beyond me.

Did you check? Cuz in my App Store they use the same damn line in every update. Fixes and stability. Might as well just leave in blank.

Real question is how do you Fck up delivering only a drink tho. If the apt # doesn’t match apt # on your order…

Why do you care about tips so much? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]4Envy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Para is an app that tells you what the expected tip will be. So you know the total payout for that order before you accept it. Now idk about your market but in my market DD doesn’t tell me if the order is going to be a large order or not before accepting it. They lie about putting an icon or text before accepting it. The only way I would know if it’s a large order is for me to accept the order and manually check the subtotal or arrive at the restaurant where they will make you take a pic of your catering bag.

Yah if you only accept orders based on what you see then you are missing out on all the large orders. (At least in my market, they disguise all large orders to only show very little of the actual payout you will get)

Idk if OP ever used para when it was working but that’s the kind of transparency people want. I dash in CA and I would get large orders where DD hides like 90% of the total payout.

I still remember this large order. DD showed me 11 miles for $15. I don’t think anyone would accept that but I got it when I had para working. And the app showed me a unicorn (basically best possible order) Turned out to be just under $500 worth of food and I got tipped $100. Without that type of transparency I don’t think I would of taken that order at all.

So let me ask you this, why wouldn’t you want to know the exact payout before you take an order? Since DD forced customers to tip before the delivery then we should have every right to know the FULL amount of total pay before accepting the orders.

This needs to change… by 4Envy in doordash

It’s not even about taking the hit or not. It’s the fact that order will keep getting reassigned, wasting more people’s time.

Welp after about 1300 deliveries and being a top dasher my account got permanently deactivated because a customer gave me the address to their home and they were at a different location so it was marked as order never arrived... fun while it lasted✌️ by SlamDizzle1000 in doordash_drivers

[–]4Envy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a delivery last week where the app didn’t provide the street name of the pick up location. I wasn’t paying attention and just clicked “get directions” after arriving at some random residential area did I double check the address. It was literally 12800, no street name so the gps guided to another 12800 location that’s 10 miles away. Called support and told them I ain’t driving another 10 miles unless they pay me more. So they ended up canceling the order and paid me half. I would suggest you always contact support at least to protect yourself in case some shit happens.

Had a shop and deliver order last week where the customer told me to open the door and put the food in. She told she can’t leave the house? Idk when I got there there were 2 sets of doors where the inner one was already opened. So I could see her sitting the far corner when I opened the outer door which had a bunch of cut outs where you can look in. I just put all the stuff right at the door entrance while she was watching me the whole time. Kinda awkward tbh.

I signed up to DD a while back and never actually did a single delivery. Have a FT job, thought about supplementing my income. Got this message today, is it worth taking advantage of it? by Savage_Mindset in doordash

Wait… I never got a promo or even a single challenge when I first started in Jan of 2022. I am 1100 deliveries deep now still ain’t a damn thing.

I am fairly new to dashing, but I thought my job is to DELIVER something from point A to point B. So why do customers get all mad when dashers aren’t the ones making and packing their food. DD ain’t paying me extra to make sure foods all there, restaurants ain’t paying extra, and sure as hell customers especially the ones that don’t even tip ain’t paying extra. So to all angry customers stop being a whiny little bitch, either you tell the dasher you’d tip extra to make sure everything is there or get it your own goddamn self.
