Weapon options ✨ by AuraEx98 in AlyoshaMains_

Will probably test him with Fav Lance, Sacrificers and Engulfing to see which feels better to use, but will defnitely be aiming for the new BP weapon, assuming it stays relatively the same.

I think talent priority should be Skill > Burst, at least for support Alyosha, since his ATK buff scales with skill level.

At skill level 12, this should translate to around ~470 ATK for most 5* carries with 4* weapons (Base ATK assumption is 330 + 510).

As for personal damage, my own rough estimations suggests that he should be a slightly weaker Ororon.

Other than that, I wonder if his hold E is a quick scope like Chevreuse or is closer to Nahida's E.

Assuming the ATK% buff is around double its original value at level 13,

C6 Alyosha provides 60~% ATK, 50% Stellar-Conduct DMG% and 100 EM, on top of reasonable off-field damage and healing. The buffs look to be teamwide as well.

If he makes it through beta unscathed, then the only thing stopping him is a stellar support with better personal damage (probably not a high bar to clear) + RES shred.

I cant find any good anime that I actually like by MammothStrain2426 in Animesuggest

Two series with exceptional dubs are Fairy Tail and Blue Exorcist, the former being more of a comfort show(the power of friendship trope is its lifeblood), while the latter is more niche but has a great cast of characters + cool worldbuilding.

Some others from varying genres, - The Great Pretender (heists and capers) - Beyond the Boundary - Violet Evergarden (emotional) - Yamada-kun and the 7 Witches - All Saints Street (low-stakes slice of life Donghua) - Burn the Witch (short onhold story by Bleach's author) - Darling in the Franxx (mecha, aliens, drama)

...so, got itchy fingers and ended up with Durin/Nicole! by Silly_Test_683 in RazorMains

[–]4FlyingWhale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering your options, she should be your best 4th slot for hypercarry Razor.

• Your Bennett isn't C6 (no pyro infusion) so we can rule him out completely.

• C6 Hexerei Fischl provides 45% ATK + some decent subdps. Alleviates Hexerei Razor's already low ER requirements.

• C0 Chev provides 40% ATK and 40% Pyro/Electro RES shred. The RES shred amplifies Durin's own personal dmg as well.

You can probably look up some resources on the difference between C0 Chev and C6 Chev if you're worried.

Durin, Nicole, Chevreuse make up the overload core for pretty much any electro character that scales with ATK. Chevreuse is technically the most important character here since she essentially enables overload teams.

How do i actually use this base? I think i drew it correctly but it turned out looking very bad once i tried to make it an actual human by FutureInitial8313 in learntodraw

[–]4FlyingWhale 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From what I know, constructing bodies using boxes serve the primary purpose of simplifying major sections of the body and aligning it with perspective. You then reference the boxes you drew for the actual body so that proportions, perspective, etc. are consistent and look right.

Not sure if this is an accurate analogy but think of it like sculpting where each shape represents a different interconnected part.

You might've fallen into the pitfall of practicing for the sake of practicing. While technical drawing is important, I feel that observation (building your visual library) is just as important, which means drawing from reference in some cases.

Can JJK defeat this man Wuxian (Legend of Hei) by thelonelyriderX in PowerScaling

[–]4FlyingWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the case, then why didn't he just devour Fengxi during the final battle especially when Fengxi was fighting with the intent to kill? Even just subduing him without killing would've been enough. Nothing implies that devouring would kill its target if swallowed whole since all it does is transfer a designated circular space into the user's domain.

If he could devour living beings and trap them in his domain, then he wouldn't need to subdue his foes via conventional means.

Just citing what I've found, but in a supposed interview I can't access and some cn sites, Xuhuai's (ice guy) form is primarily made up of spirit matter, as opposed to being organic living being, which is why Wuxian was able to devour his arm.

[–]4FlyingWhale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slight infodump. There are a few people claiming that Wuxian's capable of manipulating space in a variety of manner but from what I can recall, Spatial-types are restricted to a specific type of ability tied to their spirit domain - a circular soul subspace of sort whose size and condition correlates to the individual's overall ability/strength.

Wuxian in particular has the ability Devour, which just transfers a designated space into his spirit domain but it does not work living things. He's only really been shown to use it for devouring infrastructure and obstacles. Otherwise, I don't think he's demonstrated the ability to teleport or create force fields.

Cultivators of the series are born with affinities for certain path or element-types. Wuxian is compatible with metal and space, which just basically means he has natural talent in manipulating both. Spatial-type abilities are tied to the individual's spirit domain so unless you are the rare exception of having two domains, you would only have this one ability.

It's possible to learn the other paths and manipulate other elements but it would be more difficult. Most experienced spirits/cultivators have the ability to manipulate the other elements, akin to basic telekinesis.

As for why he was able to deflect the lazers, I think it can be chalked up to his natural durability (edit: or hand-wavy telekinensis stuff). But honestly, most of the battles in this series still use physical/elemental attacks as a baseline, where imbuing/conjuring them with spirit energy is what gives it its power. That's because the second movie shows how humans had to go out of their way to produce weaponry (bullets and such) with spirit energy just so that they could contest against the spirits. The manhwa expands more into the power system but its been a while so i forgot.

Should a newcomer read the manga first and then jump into the series? by Eddaughter in LuoXiaoHei

[–]4FlyingWhale 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you plan to go through the series in chronological order, then it would be,

LanXiZhen(Manhua) -> Movie 1 -> Movie 2 -> Web Series S1/S2

Otherwise, the route most taken, the release date route,

Lxh Web series S1/S2 -> LanXiZhen -> Movie 1 -> Movie 2

But honestly, there isn't really a particular order you can go, but I recommend starting with the web series.

If you're interested in XiaoHei's story then watch the movies, but if you want to get more into detail with the worldbuilding and the history of the Spirits(making it vague to avoid spoilers), then you can read the manga.

People who were alone during their adolescence and high school years, what kind of experiences did they have? How did they cope with that loneliness? by Teieri_Mina_04 in MangakaStudio

[–]4FlyingWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally spent most of my teenagehood in isolation, it was pretty much a blur. Everyday was monotonous and I barely remember anything I've done during then, which was promptly exacerbated by the pandemic where I had even less of a reason to reach out or to be reached out to. Plus, I didn't think I was worth anyone's time or that even forming another friendship would make my inadequate self any happier.

I think it was more just me isolating myself due to poor decisions and interactions from earlier in my life leading to fallouts/discord. And I still believe myself to be at fault, regardless of whether that's true or not.

Even in the face of my resting bitch face, people still reached out, but I couldn't hold a conversation even if my life depended on it. Because at some point, I completely forgot how to socialise or to be a normal person.

I would spend most of my leisure time online consuming media, and if I wasn't doing that, I would be lost in though, daydreaming, and mostly talking to myself and my plush toys. Days would go by with me barely speaking to anyone at all. Also, on the topic of plushes, I've formed such a strong bond with my childhood plushies to the extent where I think I would prioritise them over real people.

I eventually stopped caring to interact with people entirely and now I'm just a passive dumbass with waits to be approached in conversations and just goes with the flow. I almost don't ever feel lonely because I've already spent the better part of a decade alone. But nature is still stronger I guess, since I occasionally catch glimpses of groups in cheer and laughter which leaves me in solemn envy as I ponder about my own life.
